Annie Hartnett is the author of the novels Rabbit Cake (Tin House, 2017) and Unlikely Animals (Ballantine/Random House, forthcoming 2021). She also holds degrees from the MFA program at the University of Alabama, Middlebury College's Bread Loaf School of English, and from Hamilton College. She has received fellowships from the MacDowell Colony, Sewanee Writers’ Conference, and the Associates of the Boston Public Library. She teaches courses on the novel and the short story in both Boston and Providence, and also works as a freelance editor.
