Brooke McGlothlin

Brooke McGlothlin received her B.S. in Psychology from Virginia Tech (1999) and her Masters in Counseling from Liberty University (2003). She served for over 10 years as Director of Clinical Services in local Pregnancy Care ministry before making the best choice of her life--staying home with her boys. Brooke uses her ministry experience to reach women, writing to bring hope to the messes of life (in the midst of her own messy life). In 2010, Brooke co-founded The MOB Society, for moms of boys, and in 2019, together with Erin Mohring, she co-founded Million Praying Moms where moms learn to make prayer their first and best response to the challenges of parenting. Her books include Praying for Boys: Asking God for the Things They Need Most (Bethany House, January 2014), Hope for the Weary Mom: Where God Meets You in Your Mess (co-authored with Stacey Thacker from Harvest House), the Hope for the Weary Mom 40 Day Devotional (Harvest House) How to Control Your Emotions, So They Don't Control You: A Mom's Guide to Overcoming (an ebook), Gospel Centered Mom: The Freeing Truth About What Your Kids Really Need (Waterbrook, 2017), and Praying Mom: Making Prayer the First and Best Part of Parenting (Bethany House, releasing August 2021). Brooke and Erin offer hope and help for today's Christian parents on the Million Praying Moms Podcast, and Brooke leads women in learning the power of prayer on the She Prays Podcast. Brooke has been written devotionals for Proverbs 31 Ministries, Ann Voskamp's A Holy Experience, and has been a featured blogger for LifeWay's ParentLife blog, with a featured article on raising hard-to-handle boys in LifeWay's ParentLife magazine in September 2013. She's the mom of two teen boys, and wife to the man she's had a crush on since the third grade. They make their home in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains of SW Virginia.
