Elizabeth Torres is a renowned American nutritionist born in New York City in 1972. Elizabeth's passion for medicine has its roots in her family. Her parents have been practicing medicine for over 30 years. Elizabeth's turning point came at the age of 16 when her father suffered from kidney failure. From that moment, Elizabeth decided that she would become a medical nutritionist, an expert in nutrition for the treatment of kidney disease. During her senior year of high school, she won a prestigious scholarship and attended the New York College of Nutrition. She finished her studies with a Ph.D. in nephrology. She currently lives in the Long Island neighborhood of New York City. She works as a nutritionist with his colleague and co-author of the books, Robert Porter (an experienced nephrologist). In addition to her practice as a physician, Elizabeth holds seminars across the country to spread the basics of healthy and tasty eating, emphasizing patients at risk for kidney disease. Elizabeth's mission is to share simple rules of thumb with her readers to improve the clinical situation through proper nutrition, tasty recipes, and advice dictated by over 20 years of experience in the field.
