Writer/performer Frank DeCaro is the author of five books: "Drag: Combing Through the Big Wigs of Show Business," "Unmistakably Mackie: The Fashion and Fantasy of Bob Mackie," "The Dead Celebrity Cookbook" and its holiday-themed follow-up "Christmas in Tinseltown," and the pioneering queer memoir "A Boy Named Phyllis." He is best known for his 12 years as the host of the daily national radio program "The Frank DeCaro Show" on Sirius XM, and his much lauded, six-year stint as the movie critic on "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" on Comedy Central. He has spent the last four years playing large venues across North America as the opening act for the hilarious Lisa Lampanelli. DeCaro contributes regularly to the Styles section of The New York Times. Formerly, he was a columnist there and also at Spy magazine. His work has appeared in a myriad of magazines including Newsweek, Vogue, Entertainment Weekly, Out, The Advocate, and The New York Times Magazine. He is a graduate of Northwestern University and married to Jim Colucci, the New York Times bestselling author of "Golden Girls Forever."
