He is the editor-in-chief of Bourbon+ Magazine, actively reviews whiskey for Forbes, and is the former lead American whiskey critic for Whisky Advocate. Minnick is the author of seven books, including Whiskey Women, Rum Curious, Bourbon Curious, MEAD, and Bourbon: The Rise, Fall & Rebirth of An American Whiskey, which won the Spirited Award for Best Spirits Book. He has written about spirits for the New York Times, Scientific American, Parade Magazine and multiple appearances on CBS This Morning, NPR and CNBC. Minnick is a co-founder to Bourbon & Beyond and curates both B&B and the Hometown Rising Festivals. But most importantly, he wears ascots.
