Joshua Smith is the founder of Hi-Tech English School, an online language school that teaches English to Brazilians. He has been living in Latin America since 2000, and in Brazil since 2004. Joshua is an adventurer, an optimist, and a firm believer in positive reinforcement which he is convinced produces the best results. He has many hobbies that he enjoys doing with his wife and two boys: traveling, learning new languages and cultures, cooking, mountain biking, surfing, abstract painting, playing music (guitar and cavaco), sports, dancing, reading and writing, just to name a few. His formal knowledge of cooking, and the kitchen, began when he started working in restaurants in Sedona, AZ in 1997. He quickly made friends with the chefs, who were more than happy to share their knowledge. He also has a few personal friends who studied at the best culinary schools in the United States; they too were pleased to share their education. He even has a friend, and former housemate, who lived in the Philippines and cooked three meals a day for 30 people at a boarding school; he learned a lot from this great guy too.Read more Read less
