Kristin Maxwell is a nutritionist and lifelong vegetarian who studied herbalism and botany at university in Dallas, Texas. Following her course she travelled to Central America, where she lived and worked in Honduras and El Salvador for several years. It was while she was there that she encountered Dr. Sebi’s ideas for an alkaline diet that promoted weight loss and health. Quickly seeing the advantages of such a diet, Kristin became a follower of it and soon had persuaded others that this was the one sure way of maintaining a healthy balance in the body. On her return to the United States, Kristin took a job in San Francisco and shortly thereafter she wrote her book, Doctor Sebi Diet, in which she puts together all of his ideas and thoughts, along with some of her own as well, in a bid to help as many people as possible to lose weight and feel great about themselves. Today, Kristin lives in the San Francisco Bay Area and works as a freelance nutritionist and dieting guru. She advocates many alternatives to modern medicines and sees the food we eat as the perfect opportunity to keeping a healthy balance in our bodies. In her free time she likes to try new vegetarian recipes, runs or swims every day and enjoys taking long walks along Californian beaches.
