With a passion for history and detailed research, Leya Delray has always loved bringing the past to life. She's been a historical reenactor for almost 20 years, portraying eras that span from the 1700's to the 1940's, and is passionate about helping others get a true taste of another time. She loves old houses, old books, old typewriters, and old flower gardens, and is especially fascinated by the stories of ordinary people who never made it into the history books. It's one of those people who inspired her bestselling debut book, "Where Daffodils Bloom" a biographical novel based on the true story of a WWII war bride. Delray lives with her husband in an adorable little cabin that was originally built in the 1840's, where she has a beautiful view of the North Georgia mountains and a yard full of daffodils in the spring. When not writing or reading (or cleaning or doing laundry, let's be real here), she enjoys taking long walks in nature, making healthy, gourmet meals, and doing costume design for a local theater.
