Ling Ma

Ling Ma is a fiction writer. She was born in Sanming, China and grew up in Utah and Kansas. Her debut novel Severance, named a NYTimes Notable Book, has been translated into eight languages. A recipient of the Whiting Award and an NEA fellowship, she lives in Chicago, where she enjoys visiting her favorite indie bookstores.
