While growing up, learning that I was gay, I rarely found any representation in the speculative novels I was reading. In my writing journey, I’ve made it my mission to bring strong, authentic and positive gay characters into speculative fiction, into the kind of stories I ached for as a kid. I take strong yet complex gay characters on epic journeys. The challenges they face have little to do with them being gay--except for maybe falling for someone along the way. I have currently have three complete novels, each of which are stand alone stories, and am working on two more. LORD MOUSE was nominated for “best novel” by Gaylactic Spectrum Awards. THE SHADOW MARK was also nominated for “Best speculative novel” by both the INDIE and LLAMDA Awards. THE WITCHSTONE AMULET is my most recent release. I live in Chicago, Illinois with my wonderful and extremely patient husband and our two rather spoiled cats. I pay the bills by teaching middle school science. I’m a big gay nerd whose interests are video games, tabletop games, RPGs and guitar.Read more Read less
