V.A. Shannon

I first came across the story of the Donner Party when I moved to Connecticut back in the early 90s - being British I had never come across it before. I've always written and the story of the Donner Party stayed with me as I felt that the character of Louis Keseberg was just too unlikely - that maybe he was no more than a scapegoat for all the troubles that the Donner Party encountered. So, utilising my experience as a lawyer and examining the evidence - and drawing my own conclusions - I set out to write what I thought would be a more balanced account of his actions. As well as writing historical fiction I also write romantic comedies under the name Vivienne Shannon. I have just recently relaunched my first novel, Prospero's Island, and this is also available on Amazon in paperback and Kindle and my second, Isabella, will be available on Amazon in March.
