Just a quick note of explanation: Due to my carelessness in 'file management, ' you will see a few ratings that I did not want to see. I was bewildered at first, but when I contacted one of the people who had given me a three-star rating, I understood why it was happening. On multiple stories, I had gone in to change something in the prologue or greetings of the book. When I uploaded the changes I had made, I uploaded the wrong file. Those people read a rough first draft and not the final product. That was MY fault. I spent several months eliminating duplicate files and copies to help me avoid that same mistake later. I changed the way that I saved drafts. Instead of just making changes, I started using dates to ensure I used the newest update with you. Without attempting to justify my errors, things in my personal life had gone wrong in an awful way. I was not paying attention to what I was doing, making mistakes. I have completely changed how I do 'business' now. The lessons you learn best are the ones you learn the hard way. Verwayne Born and raised on a small dairy farm in west-central Michigan, I learned about life and death at an early age. I was lucky enough to have a loving, caring father who taught me about some of the more intricate 'ins and outs' of living every day. I later became a medic, worked in a prison's psych ward and spent many years working in Emergency Rooms as an aide and then a nurse. These experiences gave me both the background and insight to write about many things. I have twenty-four audiobooks out that you can find them over on Audible or on Amazon under my listing for stories and books. I try to add a novella of 16,000 to 22,000 words every two or three months and at least two to three 40,000+ word novels every year. 2021 was an exception. I developed a bad case of Parkinson's, and I couldn't get it under control enough to write well enough to do any serious writing. I encourage people to email me at email@example.com if they have questions or suggestions on anything I've written. Thanks for reading! VerwayneRead more Read less
