Whitney Stewart

Whitney Stewart is a children's book writer who often travels far for a story. She’s trekked in the Himalaya with Sir Edmund Hillary and interviewed Nobel laureates, including the 14th Dalai Lama and Desmond Tutu. She loves to bring her book and travel adventures to kids and ignite young minds and hearts. She is the author of both fiction and nonfiction for young readers—from tots to teens. Whitney also wrote an award-winning travel series on her search to find her husband’s uncle who disappeared on the Eastern Front of World War Two. She finally discovered the young man's fate and collaborated with independent historian and author Denis Havel on FELDPOST: The War Letters of Friedrich Reiner Niemann, A German Soldier on the Eastern Front. When not writing or traveling, Whitney teaches mindfulness to children and young adults.
