Xavier Navarro Aquino

Xavier Navarro Aquino was born and raised in Puerto Rico. His works have appeared in Newport Review and sx salon. He was given a work-study scholarship to attend the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference in 2014 and has received travel scholarships to Ghana, Morocco, and Spain from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras. In 2015 he was nominated for the Hollick Arvon Caribbean Writers Prize. He is currently a PhD candidate in creative writing at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, where he is an editorial assistant for Prairie Schooner.
