Have you ever had that moment when you are in the middle of a conversation and suddenly the room becomes quiet and nobody knows how to move the discussion forward? Of course you do. Haven’t we all? It’s for this reason that I decided to write this book. What better way to break that silence than to throw out some of these facts: Wolves have a serious appetite! They can eat up to twenty pounds of meat in one sitting! The first high heeled shoes were worn by Egyptian butchers to help them walk above the bloodied bodies of animal carcasses.

Some unintentional laughs
There are lots of really strange pauses and mispronunciation in the delivery, though not enough to ruin the book. My absolute favourite reading faux pas was reading "Kim Il Sung" as "Kim Second Son" But on the whole, these are all relatively minor.
As for the book itself. First thing, be warned, there are a number of repeats of facts. I couldn't say how many without a electronic copy of the book and lots of spare time on my hands.
While listening I heard a number of possible mistakes, some of which I checked out. So here are some "spoilers". Let's start with a nit-picky one: Greek statues actually are white. While they were colourful originally, they are white now.
Further:
* Humans do NOT only use 10% of their brains.
* It is NOT illegal to die in the British houses of parliament.
* Brazil DOESN'T have a national animal so it can’t be the Jaguar. Many websites do give the Jaguar as the national animal, but it does appear to not be true.
I was most amused by 2 things. The reference to Buzz Aldrin's maiden name, as opposed to his mother's maiden name. And saving the best for last: talking about a place named "Cape South Town Africa" Perhaps "Cape Town, South Africa"?
