Publisher's Summary

From number one New York Times best-selling author of Melissa de la Cruz comes a love story about missed connections and second chances.

Straitlaced Evelyn and reformed bad boy Marco might make an unlikely pair, but the two lovebirds couldn’t be more head over heels for each other. Sure, they’ve had some missed calls along the way, but all that’s in the past. They’ve got their sights set on forever, and the next stop is a walk down the aisle in front of their friends and family. It’s the big day, and everyone’s gathered to watch Marco and Evelyn say "I do". Everyone except Evelyn that is. Is the bride running late or running? With happily ever after on the line, the surprising answer might just be in their voicemails—too bad they never listen to them.

Short and sweet

Melissa De la Cruz is quickly becoming a favorite author in my home. This novella was super cute and a fun listen if you’re on a road trip or having a lazy day at home.

Absolutely Amazing!!!

This book said a lot about communications and love. I’m so glad Cam & Evie were able to figure it out and took a second chance because not everyone does. This was an amazing book and the narrators did an excellent job!!!!

This almost immediately caught my attention. The characters are portrayed really well. I hope to find more like this

Very fun listen.

No spoilers. LOVED this story! The actors are top-notch. The only thing that was unrealistic is that some of the 'voicemails' go on forever. That's the only negative detraction point. Other than that, it was FANTASTIC.

Underwhelming

The performances were great. The medium for the story, using texts and phone messages and calls, that was interesting. The ending was underwhelming, though. I was riveted, wanting to know why she left him, and in the end was left annoyed with her, and mad it had a happy ending because leaving someone at the altar over something so dumb should have a consequence.

Don't waste your time

There are lots of good books to choose from. This isn't one if them. Don't waste your time.

Offensively Bad

This is by far the dumbest and most banal childish drivel I have ever assaulted my ears with. Seriously, I feel like my self-respect has been compromised after listening to this. I only finished it because I was listening on my Bluetooth headphones and was elbows deep in house cleaning. I don't even get the point of this audio thing. It honestly sounds like it was written by a severely codependent, severely immature, and severely basic girl. Don't believe me? Please help yourself to two hours of ridiculous crap that is so bad it's borderline insulting. 😂

Ugh!

I only finished the book because that's who I am.
The performers were great, but this is just about the least favorite book I've selected.
The concept to me is stupid. I don't know of anyone who has that many voicemails or a phone provider that allows a voicemail to go on that long.

Different

I listened to the story and I kept waiting for more.
A rewrite would do it justice.

I felt a lot of emotions and storyline was left out with too many voicemails
that were unanswered
or aren’t listened to

I listened to the end as I was waiting for more
I still am
A rewrite would do this book justice.
It deserves the time and effort after all you put into it

it could be better filling in gaps of family and emotion. I would like to be informed if you do a rewrite.
