Publisher's Summary

Binge eating triggers do not cause binges…they cause desires. Each time you recognize those triggers and avoid rewarding them with food you are effectively breaking down the connection between the trigger and the desire until that same trigger no longer produces a craving at all.

In this book we cover:

  • Emotional triggers and their busters: low self-esteem, self-doubt, boredom, feeling deprived, financial concerns, feeling fat, stress and overwhelm, loneliness, shame, anxiousness, apathy, feeling powerless, etc.
  • Physical triggers and their busters: hunger, being too tired, that time of the month, thirst, etc.
  • Environmental triggers and their busters: the smell of food, passing old haunts - restaurants, bakeries, and others - lack of planning and preparation, social situations, nasty comments about your weight, nighttime eating, etc.
  • Thought-based triggers and their busters: “one little bite won’t hurt”, “the scale doesn’t budge”, “can’t decide which diet to follow”, worried you’ll feel deprived forever, “this can’t work forever”, “not enough time for self-care”, “i can’t afford to eat healthy”, “my cravings will last forever”, etc.

Do not let this man manipulate you into self hate.

The author's goal is to get you to practice self loathing by repeatedly calling yourself a PIG.
He's attempting to dismantle your sense of self until you're weak enough to purchase all his personal coaching where you'll then be trained to teach other people to call themselves PIGS.

Simple cult mechanics 101.

You are not a pig.

Do not buy this disgusting propaganda.

Fascinating Read

I’ve always questioned how intuitive eating can be the goal when cravings can feel so strong. This book (and the original book) resonated with me. Recommend both!

Amazing

Glenn Livingston is a man of God whether he knows it or not. Everything he writes is so scripturallyvsound it amazes me because I get the impression that he is not a believer! The only idea of his that I don’t agree with is the idea that overeating/ binge eating is a modern man induced condition. I don’t agree because gluttony is addressed in the Bible. Glenn’s simile of the inner pig perfectly parallels what the Bible calls the ‘flesh’. Mr. Livingston is Jewish ( I think he said he was ) which explains why he is so intelligently articulate! After all the Jewish people are God’s originally chosen people! This book is excellent and is capable of making a huge difference in people’s lives if they listen and apply his insights. Being trapped in the pigs deception has far more negative ramifications on a persons well being than just the weight.

So interested but impossible to listen to!!

Absolutely loved the first book that was actually read by Glenn Livingston, the author. But Tim Sinclair read this like a used car manual and it’s driving me crazy! In fact I’m not even sure if this is a real person reading it sounds like one of those computerize voices. Glenn has this incredibly warm, inviting and emotional tone when he read that cannot be replaced. So completely disappointed.

Very helpful

Helped me see my destructive thinking with regards to food in a new way that has enabled me to feel empowered to take care of myself and not the pig in my head. Well done, Glenn.

Straight forward and useful … his continual trying to sell his additional services is frustrating

I like his very straight forward … “how to … “ approach / rules. I’ve been working my wt all my life and he puts exclamation points on many of the things I have learned over the decades … for this I give him great thanks. This is the second of three of his Kindle books (& in Audible) I have purchased and I liked them all … so much so I purchased the paperback of each.

His continual trying to sell his additional services is frustration !!! He mentions numerous times his “free stuff” and as best I can determine eat leads to trying to sell you something … this is DECEPTIVE … could/should this be considered unethical?

Easy read with some good tips

This book pretty much reinforces what we already know. Exactly why I listened to this audiobook. The only thing I was disappointed in was the constant negative references to animals. Although the author says you can call your inner voice that persuades you to make bad eating choices, whatever you want, he calls it “Pig.” I cringed every time I heard the word. Also referenced us, humans, being better than animals who according to him can’t control their impulses. Last time I checked, animals don’t murder for fun. Expected more enlightenment from a PhD.

So helpful

Another brilliant book by Glenn Livingstone. If you have read Never Binge Again and found it useful you will love this. I like the audiobooks so that I can listen multiple times whilst doing other things to really get the information into my head. Glenn’s books have helped me tackle my addictions head on and achieve success. Highly recommend for anyone who struggles with junk food addiction.

A breakthrough book

where has this book been all my life??. I wish I had read it 30 years ago. I would have saved myself a lot of yo yo dieting resulting in years of angst, wasted energy, despondency and self mortification and shame that I just could not control my binge eating personality.

the concept that Glenn gives to us in this book is so simple that you think.... no way can this work, no way. BUT IT DOES !!

I am sitting with a bar of unopened milk chocolate next to my bed, its been there for 10 days and I have not been tempted to open it and eat it. Before this technique, the bar of chocolate would not have lasted 10 seconds.

I would recommend anyone to read this book . As a plus, its written in a really humorous and engaging way and you get to download a free book written by Glenn with loads of bonus material.

Must read for anyone who whats to succeed

I found this book to have real insights into the mindset that allows you to ruin your diet and exercise program. Alot of these mindsets could be applied to other aspects of life where discipline is needed to succeed. I found this book covered a wide variety of thoughts that one could have and even included some of the more sneaky ones that I thought only I had!!! I feel like this book provided me with good tools and strategies to ultimately overcome my food and lifestyle demons.

insensitive

the way he described some things seemed insensitive. he called binging a "pig" and he seemed to encourage restriction which is often a trigger of binge eating. either way, didn't enjoy it and didn't feel engaged

.
