Very helpful and intriguing way of learning about keeping healthy and staying fit
The book goes into detail about the different methods to stay healthy and fit. I like that they go over the book that diet is important as much as exercise. Not only that, it also goes through methods of exercise and the correct forms to the exercise.
Through this books guidance and repetitive and consistent exercise and change in diet, I was able to loose 10 lbs in 2 months and saw improvement in my overall mental and physical health.
I encourage everyone to read it and hope it helps you all too!!!

Health is wealth!
I'm a fitness enthusiast and would consider myself physically active. As a woman, I've been working extra hard to help build my upper body strength. Legs and abs come easy for me. Chapter 4 Mastering the Push was my favorite as it most aligns with my current fitness goal. I have always been a gym-equipment kind of person but with the current stay-at-home and social distancing situation, I find this book very useful because it is about bodyweight training, which doesn't require me to go to the gym and use any equipment besides my body. The book gives many new exercise ideas that I can incorporate into my daily workout. Anyone with any level of workout experience can benefit from this book!

This book is so entertaining and educational it is not even funny. I found myself laughing and getting surges of dopamine in my brain that would last for minutes on end. Great resource for body weight training!
I was really excited about this book because my dad has been talking about body weight strength training for a while now. I never new what exactly he meant by that, so I just figured I'll give him this book as a present for Father's Day.
He's very happy with it and already listened to a couple of chapters. He's hooked for sure! He said that he really enjoys the narration and the style of writing that's being used. What's being said is very clear, easily digestible, well explained and thoroughly researched.
This book is packed with exercises that are easy to follow. And on top of that the author expands your knowledge on topics like hydration and nutrition.
I definitely recommend this book if you are ready to life a more healthy life in a more balanced body!

Comprehensive Guide to Bodyweight Training
Bodybuilder and personal trainer rex bonds, has written a comprehensive, yet throrough guide to bodyweight trainig. All of the exercises in this book can performed in your own home, without the need for expensive equipment. This is such a good timing for the whole COVID epidemic.
Even though I have been a fitness enthusiast for my whole life and have been incorportaing bodyweight exercises into my routine. I never before understoood how many variations for each exercise type, or how to progress in a logical way, or how criticcal it is to have proper form before moving on to a harder exercise.
Rex bonds also supplements the book with sage advice on nutrition, hydration, and ways to avoiding injury. This makes you feel like you have a personal trainer at your own fingertips!

Informative and Inspiring
As I'm getting closer and closer to 50. I appreciate a book that is focused on this age range. I want to be ahead of the game, so this is timely. As I'm learning more and more about how to get fit and stay fit, bodyweight training makes complete sense for me. this book highlights this. I've already been able to apply some of the ideas in this book, and feel stronger. The author touches on some basic necessities to keep our body at its best, as well as other ideas that are more intense. I feel like this is a great book for beginners or experts.

Refreshing approach to strength if you are over 50
Rex Bonds writes this with an authority that obviously comes from more years than most in the field of strength training. The writing and reading comes over as approachable and based in years of experience. This comes across in some of the detail like advice on injury prevention (something that is much less likely with the program Rex takes you through) and the emphasis on patience and building your own program.
Being over 50 myself and having tried different approaches to health and strength I personally like the emphasis on injury prevention of this approach. Rex has an all round balanced approach and I can see that a well balanced body is both better looking and a great injury preventer. I stress this as I have found remaining injury free one of the key aspects to getting and remaining in good shape at an older age.
I found the repetitive reading of the 4,4,4 and 8,8,8 repetition counts a bit tedious after a while, on listening you have got the idea quite quickly and maybe a shorthand way of stating the rep counts would improve the spoken performance.
I felt the length of book was just right, going into detail where it added value and keeping you engaged in an encouraging view of what is possible if you take your time. I thoroughly recommend this book especially for anyone approaching strength improvement for the first time, as a returning sports enthusiast later in life or just for a practical view of training later in life.

Easy to follow guide
I originally got this book for my son who is into fitness. I decided to listen to it before sharing with him as the book title made me curious so I thought I would see if there is anything in there for me.
The author addresses the 'older' person like me and not in a condescending way either!
This book has everything you'll need whether you are wanting to look like The Rock or just build up your strength. The exercises suggested are great for beginners like me and have different levels of difficulty depending on what your fitness goals are.

Exactly what I was looking for!
As a personal trainer this is exactly what I was looking for and this has been a audiobook that I frequently recmmond to anyone who is looking to get into the fitness world, to gain a alternative way of building string and functional working muscles, if you are someone who has no idea about body training or calisthenics then this is an amazing starting point Rex does an amazing job of precisly and accurately describing how to perform some of the vital movement with this form of training, whilst explaining the benefits of the movement. Its a great way to broaden your understanding of body weight training, whilst getting the much need educational value from this audiobook. He also has great way to progress the each exercise which I thought was extremely useful. All in all this was an amazing audiobook and one I will be repeating to get down some essential notes and golden bugs I may have missed!!

Have been looking for a strength training guide during COVID that didn't require going to a Gym/or buying equipment, and 7 X Your Strength Gains Even if You’re a Man, Woman or Clueless Beginner Over 50 has been perfect for my specific goals.
The calisthenic workouts featured in this audiobook have been developed over decades for a variety of body types, and focus on autonomic resistance exercises that are easily performed.
The narrator walks through each exercise in detail, and make it easy to visualize for the listener who is looking to perform each exercise accurately. The narrator speaks in an even, clear tone which makes each technique easy to understand and memorize. I now apply a majority of these exercises in my daily workouts at home, and am finding less and less that I miss the gym.

Great motivation
I’ve been struggling with weight loss my entire life, and after listening to this book, I was encouraged to change my lifestyle. I did and found that I lost 8 pounds without trying that hard. I replaced the morning meal with a protein shake and stopped eating processed foods.

Health is wealth!
I'm a fitness enthusiast and would consider myself physically active. As a woman, I've been working extra hard to help build my upper body strength. Legs and abs come easy for me. Chapter 4 Mastering the Push was my favorite as it most aligns with my current fitness goal. I have always been a gym-equipment kind of person but with the current stay-at-home and social distancing situation, I find this book very useful because it is about bodyweight training, which doesn't require me to go to the gym and use any equipment besides my body. The book gives many new exercise ideas that I can incorporate into my daily workout. Anyone with any level of workout experience can benefit from this book!
