Publisher's Summary

What do you get when a single mom saves a musician from a killer bee?

Sophia

When I was 18, I fell in love, but he didn’t love me back. The day he found out about my pregnancy, I found out about his fiancée.

He warned if I ever told anyone, he would destroy me. So I kept the pregnancy a secret and disappeared.

Being scorned has left me jaded, but it’s also made me stronger. All my love and attention is focused on raising my daughter.

There isn’t room in our lives, or in my heart, for anyone else... until a chance encounter with Easton Blackwood changes everything.

Easton

Music has always been my one true love, but when a stunningly beautiful woman saves me from a killer bee, it just might be love at first sight.

One minute she’s slapping me with her flip-flop and the next we’re naked in my bed. With every kiss, every touch, I have no doubt Sophia could be the one, until she dashes from my bed without a trace.

After weeks of our time together replaying in my mind, she appears back in my life, with a confession that sends my world into a tailspin.

She thinks the bomb she’s dropped will send me running, but she’s wrong. The last guy might have done that, but I’ll fight for her, for our love, for our family. And I’ll stop at nothing to protect what’s mine.

Great story but a big recording mistake!

This story is done well however don’t listen to chapter 4 because it’s really chapter 20. It gives away a big part of the future story when the book is just getting started. Otherwise it’s still a pretty good story with good narration.

Fabulous Story & Listen🎧 Sweet, Spicy & Heartfelt

Nikki Ash has become one of my favorite authors, I enjoy her writing style and the characters and storylines she creates, also enjoy how easily she pulls her readers into her stories and keeps them there the entire time. This book not only grabbed my attention and captivated it from start to end, but it tugged on my heartstrings as well. An eighteen-year-old Sophie thought she found the love of her life except she was being played, he was just using her while planning to marry another women and to make matters worse she is pregnant and he wants nothing to do with her or the baby. Soon after her cousin suggests she come live with her because she needs a roommate she does not hesitate to move across the country to NY. The story picks up seven years later and despite her having a baby and struggling financially she never gave up on her dreams to become a lawyer. Naomi has been a tremendous help to her while raising her daughter, Kendall, who is now six years old and absolutely adorable. While studying in Bryant Park in the afternoon, she saves some guy from a bee he could not get rid of. A photographer caught the scene and wanted to capture the chemistry that was between them, an instant attraction. And when it started raining, the two run off together and Sophie did something she had never done, she had a one-night or rather afternoon stand with someone she just met. Sophie does not want to get involved with anyone and she does not have time for relationships, so she left Easton’s hotel room while he was still asleep, never exchanging information, not even a last name. Weeks later, Sophie learns she has another unplanned pregnancy. She wants to find Easton, but she does not know how but her cousin finds out for her. Easton turns out to be a famous musician, but a down to earth one and an understanding and patient man. Sophie is independent and not used to being nurtured and cared for so she struggles when people are kind to her, plus she has a past that she does not want to come back to haunt her or take away the one thing she loves the most, her daughter. I loved how everything played out in this book, it is a wonderfully plotted story with plenty of drama, angst, heartfelt emotions and some steamy romance. Nikki Ash, thank you for another fabulous story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧 📚🎧 And for the amazing narration, Lee Daniels and Theo Sinclair are the perfect cast to bring these characters and their story to life. They are wonderfully talented narrators and versatile voice artists and their portrayal of the characters is spot on. I love how they take each role and make it their own sounding believable and just as I picture the characters to sound. Lee Daniels nails it as Sophie grasps her strength and all sides of her personality, Theo Sinclair does the same for Easton, which he rocks as. Both are great performing the roles of the secondary characters too. They set the perfect tone for the story, capture all the character’s emotions and project them into their performance and have you feeling every single one. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to and their narration enhances an already fabulous story to another level. Thank you for another exceptional listen.

Found - a great romance!

I love, love, love this romance read. A single mom, surprise pregnancy romance read with main characters Sophia and Easton. I love how the hardships that Sophia went thru made her the strong, independent character she is and I love that Easton supported and loved that part of her as well as needing to protect and care for what he deemed as his. I also loved that he went about trying to woo her - so perfect! This audio brought the laughs as well as a few emotional tears too and while there are plenty of light moments there are lots of real talk and issues to be found too. Well written, beautifully balanced with plenty of sweet romance and steamy chemistry as well a great smooth flowing storyline. Dual narration was spot on! Both narrators did a great job and brought these main characters and supporting characters to life - loved it! Ash is quickly becoming a fav of mine and I'm definitely looking forward to her brilliant mix of humor and steam.

I received a free copy of this book at my request and I voluntarily provided this review.

I Loved the meet-cute!

From the beginning this story made me interested. I loved the meet cute these two had. Adorable! Easton was a delight! I liked his responses to her throughout the story and their chemistry is undeniable. His whole family are a dream! The way they acted and reacted to Sophia was a joy to watch. Sophia learned to become a strong independent woman. She held onto that through the whole story and it made it easy to admire her.

I did listen to this in audio. Lee Daniels and Theo Sinclair both did an amazing job as narrators and are easy to listen to. Overall this is an enjoyable read.

A Chance Encounter

A Chance Encounter is a new book told from dual points of view from Sophia and Easton. Sophia and Easton meet when he's being attacked by a bee and she kills it since he's very allergic. A nearby photographer asked to photograph them in a series about strangers. Things led to one night together and then Sophia took off and they went on with their lives.

However, a few months later, something happens and they find each other again. Easton wants to get to know Sophia and they start to get to know each other. Sophia is keeping a big secret that she has kept since her daughter was born. Can Sophia learn to trust Easton with her secret? Will Easton be able to be there for Sophia and her daughter, even though he's often in the spotlight? Can Sophia get past her secret? Will they get their happy ending?

I really enjoyed this book, and getting to know Sophia and Easton, as well as Sophia's adorable daughter! I'm not usually one for surprise pregnancy, but this one was really good. The characters worked well with each other!

Entertaining Story! Loved Easton!!!

A Chance Encounter is a sweet romance about a single mother and a musician who meet randomly and have an extremely steamy encounter, which then sets them down a path neither could have predicted, but which turns out to be exactly what they both need.

Sophia is doing everything she can to work and provide for her daughter with minimal support in her life. She has been hurt and isn't trusting, so even though Easton says and does all the right things, Sophia wants to protect herself and her daughter...and Easton's high profile career is something Sophia doesn't want to be a part of.

Easton knew what he wanted and never shied away from that and I loved that about him. He was sweet, romantic, swoony, dependable and I adored his interactions with Kendall. He was the total package!

This was my first book by this author and I definitely enjoyed it and would like to read more from her in the future.

Lee Daniels and Theo Sinclair both did a wonderful job with their narration and bringing this story to life. They were both very pleasant to listen to and I would definitely recommend them. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future as well. #PinkFlamingoProductions #TheFlock

Good Listen

She realized she was the other woman and decided that she would do everything in her life to make it better for her child. She saved Easton from bees and never knew that a chance encounter would lead to so much more. Now she is pregnant and he has to show her that he is worth the risk of being in a relationship with him.
