Publisher's Summary

Down-home charm and romance on the ranch.

A Little Bit Country

Stranded on the side of a country road with a broken-down car, Rorie Campbell is grateful when horse rancher Clay Franklin comes to her rescue. Stuck in the quirky small town, Rorie gets to know Clay, and she quickly starts to fall for the gruff, tough cowboy. Can a city girl make it work with a country man? Clay certainly thinks so. But their situation is…complicated. Clay and Rorie will have to sort out their feelings if they're going to be together.

Country Bride

Kate Logan is understandably devastated when her former fiancé marries someone else instead. At the wedding, after one glass of champagne, she spontaneously—foolishly—proposes to her longtime friend Luke Rivers. And Luke agrees. The rancher is a man of his word, and though Kate thinks they're making a mistake, he will not renege on his promise. Not only does he refuse to break the engagement, he insists that Kate actually loves him—and he'll prove it.

Great story... Horrible reading voice!

Always love Debbie's books. But this was very hard to finish due to the robotic, whiny voice it was read in.

Read the reviews and heed their advice!

I read a few a of the reviews and saw that they said the narration was irritating, but I thought the books were written by Debbie Macomber, it can’t be too awful. Please take my advice it was! Definitely not worth purchasing!

Worst narrator - she was robotic!

I couldn’t get past 6 minutes of this book without cringing the entire time. The narrator is awful - robotic, wrong emphasis in tone for punctuations. Absolutely terrible.

Way before me too movement and it shows!

Wholly cow was this written in the 1950's???? WTH ?? When did Oregon become the Deep South? If these people lived in Oregon they would never never pronounce it "Ore"gone". So much bs of women needing to be taken care of by their men. Save yourself. Listen anything else but this book!

Unacceptable narrator

I had to stop listening, just could not take the narrator. I have listened to her on something before and she was tolerable, but I just could not take her in this story. Her name is Karen White. A narrator makes or breaks the story. I have lost way too much money because of getting roped into listening to some thing with A narrator I just can’t take.
I’m giving two stars to the story, as I’m sure it’s a good one because I’ve listened to a lot of good Debbies in the past, and read them too.

Special

A stranger on the roadside needing help. No where but a small town citizen would not only offer help but also allow housing until auto is repaired. No surprise more than one person found love but the way the character expresses their feelings just brought you right in the middle of their emotions.

Amazing!!

Ok the narrator had her ups and downs but wasn't that bad and definitely didn't ruin the story. As for the story... I'm usually drawn to thrillers, fantasy, horror, etc. Adrenaline books. On a whim i decided to give romance i try. OMG!! i love this story soooo much! i didn't want it to end! i wish it had its own series. She's now officially one of my favorite authors now too. Have already bought several of her other novels. This story has made a romance fan out of me! Loved it ❤️

Where’s The Climax?!

A Country Affair started off very Nicholas Sparks like, I felt connected and engaged but somewhat about three quarters through it felt off and anticlimactic. Maybe it’s just me?
