Story
One day, I’m married, living in Seattle, and magic isn’t real. The next, I’m divorced and living in the guest room of my ex’s hotter-than-sin cousin’s place in Savannah and talking to an animated skeleton named Robert. I have to admit, Robert isn’t my worst date. At 41, I didn’t think I’d be starting over. But I’ll be damned if my ex thinks I’m down and out because he pulled a fast one on me. When a job comes my way that offers me a chance to use my childhood training in the shadow world, I take it.

I knew the sins of my past would call to collect what was left of my soul. If I'd known the price I'd pay, I would've sacrificed more to stay hidden from the magic. In the middle of Wyoming - away from the abnormals of the world - I thought I was free and clear. I started a new life. Found a love I'd never known in a husband, and a son who was my everything. In an invitation. My younger brother has been chosen for the prestigious, secret magical school hidden within the folds of our mundane world. A place so dangerous, they don’t guarantee you’ll make it out alive. If he doesn't go, our entire family will be killed. Those lovely beasts derive their power directly from their mistress and just happen to kill any who cross their paths. To get there, you first must pass through the Dragon's Ground. Full of, you guessed it, dragons who for the record, also do not like trespassers. Sounds like a fun place to go, doesn't it? Yeah, not so much.

Publisher's Summary
Queen of the fae courts. Faced with an impossible battle. Destined to never be with the Unseelie I love.
The magical tea has worn off. My eyes are wide open. And it’s with horror that I realize the fate of two realms rests on my shoulders, after my mother’s ultimate sacrifice to trap Rubezahl in Underhill.
Terrified humans clamoring for answers, whispered rumors from both Seelie and Unseelie, and a stepmother who seeks the throne for surprising reasons are the least of my troubles.
Rubezahl has returned far sooner than I thought possible. I’m not ready. I can’t win this. And not only that....He has something crucial, if we are to win. He’s taken something I cannot live without.
The place of the final battle has been decided, and two armies will meet. Yet, forces beyond my understanding must be satisfied first - old magics rise, and they demand their dues.
There is no option but to race, and decipher the puzzle, to save the man I love, the friends more important to me than my own life, and humans and fae alike.
Two realms.
Only I can save them.
We’re screwed.
If you can’t get enough of Sarah J. Mass, Holly Black, or Jennifer L. Armentrout, you will love this vibrant world where impossible love, and an explosive pace, will leave you breathless!

I really couldn't see how they were going to pull another book after the end of the last. But they absolutely did and it is a GREAT ending! while I hated saying goodbye, there is a little sliver of an opening for a spin off series. Maybe, just maybe, we haven't seen the last of them.

the story had been great,it kept me interested up to about 3/4 of the,way through the last book. then it fizzled. the ending was pure fairytale. everything worked out ( which I'd expected and hoped) but it got really gooey. it was "perfect" like they hadn't had all this angst. guess I know who wrote THAT part! It was TOO beautiful and they took credit for It. not believable at all ! sure it's fantasy but it could have been BELIEVEABLE fantasy!

A packed full finale
I loved this last book mostly, I give this 4.5 stars. It was again full of drama, mystery, action, and angst. I loved learning all the new things about underworld, about our favorite characters, and the sarcastic comic relief from the land kelpie and the Oracle was great as usual. I love Lan and Alli. Cinth was wonderful as usual but now she finds a special someone. I like how all the ends got tied up and people took on new roles. I gave this 4.5 stars because there is a part at the end that I thought was really cruel to certain people that gave their everything.

I didn't want it to end!
A Crown Of Petals And Ice
The third book in the Honey and Ice Trilogy
Let me start by saying that EVERYTHING I learned in the first two books has changed! These twists and turns have been insane.
I had some theories; a few were right, and the rest were destroyed 😂
I definitely recommend this series. I can't say too much as I don't want to give anything away.
The main character faces many trials, but she always seems to come out on top. Her friends and companions are such well written characters and are amazing together and alone.

I’m sitting here in pure awe of this amazing world I had the pleasure of immersing myself into. The combination of these two authors talents is nothing short of brilliant and I’m sad this is the “end” for two of my favorite characters. I am pumped for the next journey and can’t wait to see who we get the pleasure of taking a new adventure with.

Wow! What a ride! Twists and turns. Who is your enemy and who is your friend. Plenty of action to keep my wayward attention. Excellent character development throughout the series. Awesome series from beginning to end! The narrator did a great job with providing unique voices for each character and appropriate tone inflections for each scene! I received a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
