Story
After Abriella's sister was sold to the fae, she thought life couldn't get any worse. But when she suddenly finds herself caught in a web of lies of her own making - loving two princes and trusting neither—things are not quite as clear as she once thought. As civil war wages in the Court of Darkness, Brie finds herself unable to choose a side. How can she know where she stands when she doesn't even know herself anymore? In this darkly romantic thrill ride, the more Faerie is torn apart from the inside, the clearer it becomes that prophecies don't lie.

Publisher's Summary
She knew her hand in marriage would be sold. She had no idea a fae prince was the buyer.
Katria swore she'd never fall in love. She's seen what "love" means through the cruelty of her family. So when she's married off to the mysterious Lord Fenwood for a handsome price, all Katria wants is a better life than the one she's leaving. Feelings are off the table.
But her new husband makes not falling in love difficult.
As their attraction begins to grow, so too do the oddities within her new life: strange rules, screams in the night, and attacks by fae that Katria never thought were real. When she witnesses a ritual not meant for human eyes, Katria finds herself spirited away to the land of Midscape.
Surviving the fae wilds as a human is hard enough. Katria must survive as a human who accidently pilfered the magic of ancient kings—magic a bloodthirsty king is ready to kill her for in order to keep his stolen throne—and her new husband is the rightful heir in hiding.
The power to save the fae is in her hands. But who will save her from a love she vowed never to feel?
A Dance with the Fae Prince is a complete, stand-alone novel inspired by the tales of Psyche and Eros, as well as Cinderella, with a "happily ever after" ending. It's perfect for romantic fantasy fans. A Dance with the Fae Prince features a slow-burn romance, swoon-worthy couple, and steaminess that ranges from simmering to sizzling.

Truly a lovely read, I was so enraptured!
Wonderful! This book overall was really great. There were only tiny moments where I felt ok, this main character of the story did things I thought was a bit silly, illogical. But overall I rooted for her as she found herself and I enjoyed the journey & ride.

What is love?
Since the beginning of the story I knew she was special. The Cinderella story line bothered me because it is so predictable but it definitely tool a turn once the main character was married. I so love this world and the new characters. I do wish the books intertwine so I can enjoy the old with the new. I loved both main characters and their love story.

I was enthralled from the beginning!
Elizabeth Evans is one of my favorite narrators, and paired with Elise Kova, it was magic! They pulled me in and didn't let go.
The Cinderella elements, blended with fae, hidden royal identities, an enemies to lovers feel, adventure, and slow burn romance made this a fabulous listen. I stayed engrossed to the very end, even as I started figuring out the mystery, and I finished it in 2 days! The realms were intriguing, along with the magic system.
I can't wait to dive back into the Married to Magic world again!

A story that kept me riveted until the very end
I'll start first by saying that I'm usually very picky about my audiobooks. If the narrator doesn't do it for me, I usually don't pay attention. Elizabeth Evans did a fantastic job keeping me involved in the story by her character voices, and the emotions she was able to convey.
Now for the story. This is another great entry to the Married to Magic series that melds inspiration from Greek mythology and fairytales. This one being Cinderella/Psyche and Eros. Honestly, I don't understand the hate this book got when I was reading other reviews. Romance is always a little on the predictable side, but it's all about the journey. Katria and Davien had to work for their happily ever after and I was listening happily waiting to find out the next part of their journey.
Before this review gets too long, I'll just tell you to listen. This story is absolutely worth the listen as it beautifully tells a story of love, magic, loss, and finding yourself after escaping abuse. Elise Kova has done it again bringing us into a world of fantastical magic and creatures, and I can't wait for the next installment in this series.

Delightful Fairy Tale!
LOVED THIS! A Fae retelling of Cinderella with a happily ever after was just what I needed. The plot was predictable, but I loved the characters, the romance, and the writing so much that I was still fully invested in the story through to the end. Elise Kova does it again!

Fantasy Romance at its Best
A Dance with the Fae Prince is book 2 in Married to Magic world and it’s a standalone that takes place in the same book world as A Deal with the Elf King: The Natural world and Midscape.
It tells us the story of Katria, a young woman who has suffered physical and psychological abuse during so many years of living with her stepmother and half sisters and finds her hand being sold in marriage to the mysterious Lord Fenwood.
Leaving the past behind and moving into her husband’s manor, brings Katria into a journey she was far from imagining and it will lead her into Midscape. I don’t want to share spoilers, so I’m not getting into further details.
The story is inspired by Cinderella and Psyche and Eros myth.
This book is a Fantasy Romance that totally delivers the love story with an amazing world building. The slow burn romance got me swept in immediately. There’s also a very important aspect that is the personal journey of Katria overcoming her trauma and years of abuse from her family, specially since the death of her father. This is not only a discovery of romantic love, but a journey to accept and love herself.
There’s a good banter with the supporting characters that evolves into a close friendship, as Katria goes into Midscape and also a political intrigue.
The magical system is one I’ve never seen before in books with Fae, Ritumancy, and it’s based, as the names suggests, on rituals: the magic needs the presence of physical elements and requires several steps to achieve the result, almost like a recipe. I really liked that aspect and I found it refreshing.
Elisabeth Evans is a great narrator and did an amazing performance.
Elise is such an amazing storyteller and one of my favorite authors that I always recommend. Make sure you don’t miss this book!

Lovely Narration!
Elise Kova took all my expectations and blew them up! This is one magical tale with spectacular foreshadowing that keeps you riveted to this unputdownable book. This is utterly enchanting with just the right amount of whimsy and wonder. And the cover is glorious! To be honest, this author had my full attention upon my first glimpse of this breathtaking cover! I seriously want to frame it. The words inside are just the icing on this faetastical fairytale.
Katria is caught in a Cinderellaesque situation. She's lost her father and been left with his horrible wife and daughters. There is a sister who isn't terrible and just as trapped as our Katria. They share a unique bond that does end happily. Katria has been beaten down and scarred and vows to never let love into her life.
When the aloof prince changes Katria's whole life she doesn't trust him and he hardly gives her any attention. With a change in her destiny, Katria starts to demand more for herself and things really become exciting. There are after dinner chats and musical moments in the forest. These two start to gravitate towards each other when everything ripens. But the road is bumpy and gives you pause as to whether these two will end up tumbling into love, or develop a fierce loathing for each other.
This is slow burn romance that will sweep you away into a magical atmosphere. There is sizzle and one unforgettably swoon-worthy couple that save each other and give us a happily ever after that you can praise endlessly.
