Publisher's Summary

Saving the city was supposed to be the hard part...

Parker Ferro can’t catch a break. After saving San Amaro from destruction for the second time and reconciling with his boyfriend, his current plans are to relax on his couch until his ears stop ringing.

Unfortunately, the thousand realms he just saved have a way of yanking him back into service, and the dead have come back to haunt him. When he’s called in by the SAPD to consult on the murder of an anti-paranormal protestor killed with fae magic, Parker is caught up in an intricate political web that was spun long before he was ever born.

Now, Parker has to unravel the mystery behind the murder and untangle old family secrets before irreversible damage is done to his new friends and alliances. At least this time, he’ll hopefully have some help.

A Gilded Iron Blade is an MM urban fantasy with a HFN and an ongoing story line.

Always comes together!

I’ve been binging this series and I am so impressed!

The author has now gone 3/3 giving us books with all these plot lines and story beats that always come together very well in the end! Impressed at the mastery of stringing everything together!

On top of that the plot and characters are fun and engaging. The magic system between the different types of magic is so interesting and grows with each installment!

Also the narrator is top tier! A wonderful voice that fits the story perfectly!

Highly suggest.

Amazing story

I came here for the M/M urban fantasy escapism, but after finishing this (book 2) I am stunned to my core at how great this series is! The world building is mindblowing, the not-main characters are all worth remembering, and the M/M is so far just supportive and drama-free so my anxiety never kicks in.

Narrator Greg Tremblay is, as always, an absolute treat to listen to. If he opened a patreon page and just read weather reports I’d subscribe in a minute.

Why isn’t everyone talking about this series? Buy this damn book!

Audio worth it!

I love listening to Greg Tremblay so when I had a hard time getting into the written novel I was excited to try the audible version. Totally worth it!

I own and have read the 1st 2 books in this series and was eager for this continuation. Listening to the book brought the characters to life in a new and well formed way that gave a better depth to the story and my enjoyment. I hope to enjoy the next in the series soon!

It gets better and better

Every new book in this series adds to the world and characters in remarkable ways. This has quickly become my new favorite series and I hope it never ends. Watching Parker and Nick grow together is truly a joy and I can’t wait to see where their story goes from here.

This series keeps getting better and better

This was far on the way the best book yet in this series. The story was more powerful and the characters more deeply filled in the last two. This was a superb book, well worth the listen and demonstrates the genre at its best

Great story. Great narration.

This series is one of my favorite types of stories. Mystery, fantasy, social commentary, romance, magic, action, and family are a blended together to tell an interesting story that is packed with emotional moments. Parker is slowly growing into his position as the Windrose, and learning more about himself while he maintains the peace amongst the realms.

On a personal note, I very much appreciated the emphasis on found family in this story. Parents don't need to be genetically related to be awesome parents.

Once again, Greg Tremblay's narration was spectacular, and I planning to start the next audiobook after I finish this review.

Disappointing

Really enjoyed the first 2 but this one was hard to get in and hard to finish. I mean Parker literally puts his soul in danger because it wanted to act like a toddler and not ask the previous windroses for help. He is a grown man right?!? I couldn’t get past all the unmature actions.
