Now an old friend has invited him to the city of Yoran where the work is plentiful. The Roasted Dragon tavern is rough but cozy. The regulars are seedy but welcoming. The owner, Jessica, is fond of him. It's almost too good to be true.

Good first few
The first few books were really good, but, now they are starting to feel very long. To many battles, to much cutting to one story to another, than back again. Really like the books, but this gets rather tedious.

I love \ loved this series. Blew all my credits to get to book 8. Then I look it up and realize how many books there are. The books get shorter and shorter. The story is great, I enjoy the character progression. The money grab is evident though and honestly disgusting.

Bated breath
Tension packed and riveting throughout. The narration is absolutely superb. Just when you think it's all over brace yourself because there isalways something more around the corner. Target audience no less than young adults for the book contains much violence tastefully produced but serious caution should be give as this series of books stimulate the readers imagination. There're ration of limited duration of each title and will Thor ever get a grip?

boring
To many books in the series, really tried to finish but each book was about the same thing, war, bitching, war, bitching, Dragons and it was a bit to soft, was blah, all 8 stories so far could have been told in 1 book can't bring myself to listen to/read the rest, not exciting or going anywhere, trying to drag out, and mistakes are bugging me
I.e. Bronson missing an eye when he is actually missing an arm and so on or names where aren't relevant and the drawn out preggers stuff and random quests that are the same plot i.e. quest to find someone or something, random monsters that want to kill them and then win as a 2 against 50 odds and home...and then the fact that the first book stated all throughout whoever yields the sword becomes king, but then Thor yields the sword (as you knew he would and yet Gwen is still the queen?? ahmmm) then Gwen is soft on anyone whose screwed her over, just peeved me off was so similar...and blah
