Publisher's Summary
There's someone in Toussaint Guy will do anything to protect. Jilly Gable is desperate to find the love of the family who abandoned her as a child. And when the wife of a powerful New Orleans antiques dealer and loan shark sweeps into town claiming to be her mother, Jilly is all too willing to love and forget.
Slowly and methodically, evil closes in on Jilly, and only the truth and Guy can save her. Connecting the dots between the Big Easy and Toussaint all but cinches his case, but Jilly and Guy are still in danger. They have only each other for protection.
But will that be enough?

bad dialogue
The dialogue in this book made it very hard to listen to. The story line was not great either. Wished I had my credit back on this one.

Weak narration
I could not get past the narration of this book. The narrator does not have much vocal variety and seems to pause and place emphasis in the wrong places. If I wasn't totally concentrating, I lost track of the story.

Fun and exciting.
I liked this book because it kept me guessing as to what would happen next. Stella Cameron has a vivid imagination and the knack for excitement. Probably would not send to my grandchildren because of the sexual overtones, but I loved it.
