sublime

AKA A Haunted Island. Blackwood, a master storyteller, weaves the tale of a lonely cottage on an uninhabited island. A disturbing influence drives the sole occupant of the house to sleep downstairs in the sitting room. What follows is a tautly drawn spooky occurrence.

A well told tale.

the descriptions in this story are clear enough to make me believe that I have been there.

Very Entertaining Suspense Story

Short story of suspense. No gore, no horror -- I wouldn't even call it terror -- just good old-fashioned suspense. Perhaps the mind is playing tricks? Alone with your own-thoughts and your imagination, creates enough suspense to make you feel afraid. Entertaining and short -- provides a satisfying "quick fix" if you desire a good ghost story.
