Publisher's Summary

Mara Keegan is an uber-successful mother and a widow of three years. She's been chasing success and all the "good things in life" for her family to make up for the cruel whim God played on them by taking her husband. In an effort to be the perfect mom, she decides to make a photo memory quilt, a graduation present for her daughter, Cadence. She's not yet finished when she experiences a heart attack.

While Mara recuperates, she revisits the choices she's made that led to this physically and spiritually broken heart. The memory quilt must be finished in time for Cadence's big day, but Mara struggles with her burgeoning feelings for the man who must keep Mara's business going during her recovery, Joel Ryan. Can Joel find his way into Mara's heart and onto Cadence's quilt?

Good. Emphasis is 100% Christianity NOT Romance

I liked it. Some parts are very funny, very familar to family life. I liked the underling story. It is a story about loss and coping. There is a small hint of new romance. My favorite part was the dog. But it's basically hours of Bible study.... not what I was looking for.

Though this is clean and wholesome it isore focused on Christianity, being saved and what not. That's ok, I like God but I'm not a fan of being preached to about others beliefs without it being identified as a Christian genre.

Regarding the business portion, the military uniform section was ridiculous in every way. Not believable.

The narration was bad. Her voice is nice but She often said incorrect things like calling the man Jill instead of Joel...she also did not distinguish voices between the FMC & MMC so dialog and inner monologs were confusing. And it was weird the kids occasionally sounded like cliché airhead surfer dudes.

Awesome read

A wonderfully written story about life’s struggles. A great reminder that God is in control and through those struggles he is with us, provides, and brings about healing. Also, he never gives up on us even when we stray. Like the quilt pieces make a beautiful work of art, he creates something beautiful with the pieces of our lives.

Love the inspiration

This book was such a good one to listen to. The story line is well thought out and keeps your interest. It also is full of inspiration to help see and show ways to deal with lost, isolation, and more. I’d highly recommend.

Beautifully written, so sentimental

Man. This story was just so good. Overcoming loss, working so hard because you feel as if you don’t, who else will? Such an amazing story.
