Publisher's Summary

I’m Jake Masterson, single dad, and the general manager of Seattle’s NHL team. I walked away from a career as a player so I could raise my daughter. For the last 20-plus years, Queenie has been my main priority, but now she’s getting married.

And there’s a small complication.

A beautiful, sexy complication named Hanna.

She’s my son-in-law’s older sister. Or at least that’s how they were raised. The truth is a little more scandalous than that.

I’ve been drawn to her from the moment I laid eyes on her. And I spent months trying to keep a lid on that attraction.

Until we finally give in.

It starts with one searing kiss but quickly ends with us between the sheets - and in the shower, and the hot tub, you get the picture - and turns into months of sneaking around.

Here’s the problem: We live on opposite ends of the country. It can’t be anything but casual. And as I’ve already said...it’s complicated.

But when Hanna finds out she’s pregnant...suddenly things get real serious.

One of these books is not like the other

You know the game where you’re shown 4 pictures and you immediately spot the one that’s different? Yeah, it’s like that.

This book is either for die-hard lovers of sweet mama-drama romances or for those who’ve read the prior three books in the series (about twenty-something hockey players and puck bunnies) and want to spend a little more time with the prior couples. Whereas the prior books featured fun, flirty, dirty rom-coms, this one is lukewarm on romance and light on comedy.

The book starts well after the meet cute and moves pretty quickly into the pregnancy plot. Then it’s all about the angst of a 46 year old woman and her slightly younger man worrying about the complications of having a kid so late. It was sweet and I liked that this was free of the drinking/social media silliness of the previous books. But, at the same time, I missed the fun and energy of the previous books.

Older Couple....love it

This has been a great series from book 1 to book 4, I am not sure how many more to the series to come but I am all in when and if they do. I think what i liked about this one especially was that it is of an older couples relationship. Good read, humor and story line. Helena continues to sprinkle the characters from the other books throughout each book in the series. I wished I would have started when all books were out so I didn't have to remember who the characters were, but I am impatient and have to read them at the release date. Well done!

Super fun read!

I waited for this book for a while, and I am so thrilled we also got an audiobook! It was so much fun to dive back into this world and see where all these lovable characters were up too once again. The narration was amazing, as expected from these two pros. Once I finished this book it made me want to start all over again with the Pucked series because it was so much fun, especially because they all have audiobooks to go with the ebooks!

I don't want this series to end

I'm in book 4 of All In and I finished the Pucked series before that. I seriously love the way this author weaves earlier characters throughout the series. It helps because I just LOVE all of them. I am just in awe at how each book is so different, the characters are so different yet each book is so good. This may be the first time I actually listen to an entire series again. This last book, A Kiss for a Kiss is my favorite. Perhaps because I can relate as an older, single reader. I highly recommend this series as well as the Pucked series. I am so sad I'm in the last book.

Sweet and Simple

This is a sweet and light read. I have loved this series so much. This one was a nice way to end the series. Not much angst, but still cute.

Not like the others

I was soooo excited for this book. I’m a diehard fan of this and the Pucked series. I usually can’t stop playing them. This one was dull. I knew the storyline would be a bigger change than the other books but I didn’t feel any connection to the book or between the characters. Very bland. I fell asleep listening multiple times.

A Kiss for a Kiss

Warning you right now this whole review is a spoiler so if you don’t want it to spoil anything for you don’t read farther….

You were warned.
I was soooo looking forward to this book, Hannah and Jake were my favorites! Ok maybe still are but I didn’t want a s****e b***y!!! Don’t get me wrong 40’s are not old but I didn’t want a s****e b***y!!! I wanted them to come together and find all the love because they deserved it.

I loved Queenie in this book she is fantastic and I loved that she gets it.
King has his own feelings and I get that too I mean hello it’s a shock.

Overall I liked the book, I had all the feelings but still grrrr s****e b***y!!!!!
The narration was perfect for these two. Glad we got them in audio.

A hard fought for love and baby. Great narration!

This was an emotional journey for Hannah who has lived a lie since she was a teenager. She spends more time with Jake while they plan Jake’s daughter Queenie’s wedding to her “brother” Ryan. What starts as an explosive kiss quickly turns into more, but they cannot get serious because she lives on the other side of the country. BUT wait, ugh oh, she finds out she’s pregnant and it’s her last shot at being a mum and she’s gonna take it! Go Hannah! This just got real!

Helena did a great job of tackling sensitive topics. There was care and attention given to many of the roadblocks this couple faced. This one was a little less comedy and a lot more feels for me and I was OK with that. Jake and Hannah’s story wouldn’t have been right if it was slapstick humour. There are still funny moments, but I really enjoyed this heartfelt journey that ultimately brings this family closer together.

I haven’t listened to many of Stella’s titles but that hasn’t been intentional. I think she did a great job of showing us just how tortured Hannah was and how independent she was determined to be. As always Jacob gives us all the sides of Jake. From the exasperated dad to the passionate lover and the worried partner. It is no hardship to listen to Jacob and he will pull on your heart in this one.

Another fantastic book from Helena with top notch narration from Stella and Jacob.
