Story
Five Portuguese cat shifter brothers, paid killers who only target society’s worst targets, probably shouldn’t be as downright fun to spend time with as these ones. It’s the family business—they fight together, they die together. Whether they’re working as a group or alone, the Moreno brothers are a tight unit who protect their own. Are there dark scenes where bad guys get what’s coming to them? Absolutely. There are also way too many moments of absurd hilarity, hijinks, and pure joy. And there’s the ninja bunnies.

Publisher's Summary
What do you do when the person you can’t get out of your head is the son of the man who jilted you 30 years ago? Proceed with caution!
When Dr. Joseph Nielson - aka Doc - walked into his exam room, the last thing he expected to find was the spitting image of the fiance who had hurt him so badly that he’d spent the rest of his adult life as a bitter bachelor.
Marion Harris is a 29-year-old virgin...who happens to be nine months pregnant, thanks to having agreed to be a surrogate for his best friend. After an unlucky year of sorrow, he’s now alone with a child to raise and nowhere else to go but his father’s hometown of MacIntosh Meadows.
After a not-so-great first impression, the two men keep finding themselves pushed together during the holiday season they both hate by a mischievous family who loves them - the MacIntosh clan. Despite every reason they shouldn’t, neither one can find a good enough reason to fight the matchmaking...or the natural attraction they both feel.
This is the fourth book in this heart-warming series and contains a virgin giving birth in a barn, three wise guys in pajamas, and enough holiday feels to keep you smiling into the new year. Pretty much everything you’d expect from a Susi Hawke book.

I love how this story starts out with Marion showing up and town and the grannies taking over. I love the chance to visit with old friends from the first books in the series. But the best was to see the connection between Joseph and Marion. Despite the age difference they click. It also let Joseph but to rest an old hurt in such a surprising way.

A Sweet Story
This is the fourth book in The MacIntosh Meadows Series. A Sweet book the writing was good. The plot was entertaining and it was steady throughout the book. I found the story and characters wonderful. The characters were developed and thought out. Marion and Joseph are the MC’s of this book. The narration was okay although it could’ve been better. I can recommend this book as a good read/listen. I voluntarily read an advance copy of this book for an honest review.

Great ending to a great Series
I received an ARC of this audio for my honest review. I loved Doc & Marion, was glad to see that Doc finally found his happy ending. At first it didn't seem like he would as Marion reminded him of a love he lost years ago. The MacIntosh family is a really tight knit family and the grandmothers are hysterical. They wind up taking Marion in when his truck breaks down in the parking lot of the diner and they make him feel a part of the big family. Sorry to see this series end.

A barn baby is a Christmas miracle indeed
Everyone who knows me know that I’m a sucker for May December romances. So I was really thrilled when I found out that Susi Hawke is coming up with a new Macintosh Meadows couple with quite a substantial age gap. I have loved listening to previous Macintosh Meadows couples too and this one isn’t an exception.
Marion is a 29 years old omega virgin who just happens to be 9 months pregnant. After agreeing to be the surrogate for his best friend, Marion found himself alone and nowhere to find shelter. So he decided to return to his roots, a quaint, happy town of Macintosh Meadows. There he met Dr. McHottie Joseph who happened to date his father decades ago. Joseph is both surprised and hurt to meet this omega in need of help who also happened to be the son of his lover who jilted him decades ago. But despite his mixed feelings, our Good Samaritan Doctor has never turned a blind eyes for a soul in need of help. A baby is coming and sparks are flying. Perhaps it’s time for a Christmas miracle for both Joseph and Marion!
This is quite funny. Susi Hawke stories are kinda cheesy and a lot fluffy. But who cares? My soul sometimes just need a big bowl of rainbow candies. The story is very sweet and not angsty. Plus a barn baby!!! And Grandmas are adorbs. Drew Becca did a good job narrating this story because I really enjoyed it. I can’t wait for my next Macintosh Meadows dose of a new couple!

Perfect Holiday Story
Susi Hawke does it again with a perfect holiday story! This time, we have two strong, yet vulnerable men who keep getting put together, despite their best efforts to kept to themselves. The chemistry the two have, both before and after they get together, is obvious and hot! I loved the nod to Christmas, with the whole "pregnant virgin" aspect! Drew Bacca did an outstanding job bring Doc and Marion to life. He really adds character and personality to already strong characters, and allow you to get sucked even deeper into their story!

Adorable holiday tale
I’m so glad Susi gave us another installment with the MacIntosh clan!! We finally get the backstory for the towns long term bachelor Doc Joseph. Young Marion was so sweet and lighthearted despite all the loss he has suffered. I do feel like most of the story centered on their past connections (Joseph has a past with one of Marion’s fathers) rather than their budding relationship. Otherwise very sweet and fun story

Pure Christmas sweetness
I expected this to be a warm Christmas romance with a baby toward the end. What I didn't expect was the narration with a subtle Southern accent and the totally zany and delightful cast of characters. Dr. Joseph hates Christmas because of an event in his past that we initially are kept in the dark about. Marion's car dies in town, he is carrying a baby there is a real surprise behind and when the doctor sees him he cites a conflict of interest from 30 years back and suggests he get another doctor. How all these threads are unwound and then woven into a wonderful romance between the ever optimistic Marion, Joseph and the entire town of MacIntosh Meadows makes for a completely satisfying read. The heat doesn't arrive until the end of the story but it comes at just the right time. The narrator hits just the right note of sweetness with a voice like butterscotch. A story to curl with on a snowy night with some hot cocoa.

A nice holiday addition to series :)
Doc gets his own HEA!
After seeing so many new mates and helping to bring their children into the world, Doc is beginning to see how lonely his life is. However, he's not putting himself out there either, going as far as to olunteer to work ovr the holiday season. When a pregnant stranger, Marion, seeks his help to check up on the pregnancy, Doc is faced with a past hurt - Marion looks like the fiance that left Doc years ago!
On Doc gets over the shock, hurt and stops being a pill to Marion, their relationship becomes friendlier and they fall in love. It's nice to see some familiar people, like the grannies. Enjoyable addition to the series.
As always, Drew Bacca adds extra enjoyment to the story. He's been great for the series and this book is no exception.

Very sweet Christmas story!
I've been curious about Doc/Joe/Joseph since I first met him and he was every bit as dreamy as I expected, at least after he got over the whole thing of Marion being the spitting image of the man who jilted him at the altar, that is. LOL It wasn't nearly as bad as it sounded, though, and thankfully, Joe got over it fast. I really liked Marion and thought he was just perfect for Joseph.
As always, it was a delight to catch up with the rest of the McIntosh clan, they are so much fun and their antics were just what I needed to get over the worst book hangover ever!
Drew Bacca did a great job portraying all the different characters and he definitely has a knack for light, fun stories. Highly recommendable!

A Christmas Story
A pregnant virgin is stranded near Christmas and in need of shelter. Stop me if you’ve heard that one before. Except this isn’t Mary, this is Marion. And his companion isn’t the Joseph from the Bible, but Dr. Joseph Nielson, obstetrician extraordinaire. He’s the only doctor working near Christmas and as Marion finds himself stuck and in need of help, Joseph is expected to step in and help. Only problem? Marion reminds Joseph of a painful part of his past. So can he work through the existential crap and help the young expectant father? Time will tell.
I have listened to a bunch of Susi Hawke audios recently and this one was good, although not my favorite. A little cheesy on occasion, but sweet. Marion has come to town to claim his inheritance, not realizing how complicated that will prove to be. He’s also pregnant and about to give birth so, yeah, the kindness of strangers is appreciated – especially the two grandmothers who take him under their wings. Of course there’s the birth in the barn, and the three wise guys in pajamas (and yes, that was definitely funny). There are plenty of laughs and a few sentimental moments as well.
Drew Bacca narrated the story and he did a good job. His narrations and solid and consistent which is important. Overall it was good and I’m glad I listened.

Sweet Christmas love blooms in the Meadows
I love this MacIntosh Meadows series by Susi and Drew Bacca does a wonderful job as always bringing the guys and the feisty grandmas to life. This was a wonderful sweet Christmas tale of a new romance as the characters of Joseph (Doc) and Marion find new reasons to love Christmas after having tragic holidays in their past. This is a cute short listen with the MacIntosh boys and their grandmas meddling. Highly recommended MPreg Christmas novella.

Love this series
Marion and Joseph what a lovely story, well read but even better is the way it's been written by Susi. This book brings the whole family back which is lovely, esp if it's been a while since you last read one of the books.

Brill
This is a brilliant heartwarming story at what can happen at Christmas. Along with Joe and Marion getting their happiness.
The narrator brought the story to life along with some fun sound effects.

sweet and heartwarming
I loved Joe and Marion from the beginning of the book. Marion is such a sweet and funny person and Joe is soft hearted, they were perfect for each other. The narrator did an amazing job and his goat noises were really good. This was an amazing 5th installment to the series.

A Very Merry MacIntosh Christmas.
Marian Harris is very pregnant and needs help, pronto.
His car has broken down and he can barely afford breakfast, never mind getting his car fixed. In the local cafe in MacIntosh Meadows he meets Libby and Dot, the MacIntosh matriarchs. The grannies take over and invite him home. It turns out he;s in MacIntosh Meadows to claim his inheritance, but the grannies have bad news for him.
They take him to the local doctors for a check up, but when Doc Joe Nielson sets eyes on him he has a flashback to years gone by and refuses to treat Marian.
Luckily Joe knows he's being a jerk and gets to know Marian.
The outcome is not unexpected so i'll save you the ending.
Susi Hawke did it again. It was ably narrated by Drew Bacca.
