Publisher's Summary

Cull the masses. Enslave the survivors. Destroy America.

Jennifer Martin escaped Atlanta by the skin of her teeth. Nevertheless, terror and chaos are not confined by city limits. The unthinkable deeds she committed to get out of Atlanta have followed her back to the small town of Clayton, Georgia.

The new Federal Emergency Security Agency administrator has assigned Commander Todd Kravitz to enforce mandates in the northeastern quadrant of Georgia. He knows about Jennifer’s involvement against other FESA agents and government contractors. He has a price on her head, and will hunt her down like a rabid animal.

Coming from a relatively comfortable lifestyle, the apocalypse has been a harsh adjustment for Jennifer. She has her faith in Jesus. She has a safe place to lay low in the Appalachian Mountains. She’s surrounded by family and friends. But, she’s up against the most powerful, abusive federal agency in the history of America. Jennifer isn’t the type to be led to slaughter. If Kravitz wants a fight, Jennifer will bring it.

Courage and determination are admirable qualities. However, they’re no match against the largest security force on the planet. If she has any hope of surviving, it’s going to take a miracle.

Don't miss this post-apocalyptic thrill-ride set in America's near future. Get your copy today!

As with all works by Mark Goodwin, this book contains no profanity, and no embarrassing sex scenes. However, if you're offended by conservative principles, and references to Scripture, this audiobook might not be for you.

Stacy glemboski changing Scripture

she put the word she scripture for Deuteronomy chapter 20 verse 1 through 4 when the priest comes to the mountain instead of saying he she says she that's a big deal you don't change scripture when it says he spoke to them you don't say she spoke to them. that's false scripture they're telling somebody that a woman did it not a man that's case if it was then that's fine but I read it and it's not it was a man a priest that spoke to people and I cannot believe she changed scripture and she is trusted to read Mark Goodwin's books I don't trust listening to any more Mark Goodwin's books narrated by Stacy glemboski. Mark Goodwin the greatest Christian brother apocalypse book writers I've ever enjoyed reading and listening to but I really think we need to be careful because she's changing the words and I don't think for a second that that's smart you know that scripture should never be changed or altered in any way whether it's just one word or not that's only going to lead to more things being changed or choosing not to read what you wrote. supposed to read exactly what you wrote in the book. they don't and aren't told to make up whatever they think they should say in the book. that's a dangerous slippery slope

The perfect blend between information and entertainment!

I love how the author incorporates knowledge Into the story. It’s like little nuggets of gold along the way. I love the different scenarios in all of the different series that get you thinking and the character development makes you feel like part of the story.

God Fearing and Wonderful Story!!!!!

I have listened to multiple books from multiple authors in the SHTF / Post Apocalyptic World genre for several months now. I stumbled across Mark Goodwin one day and got hooked. Not only is this book (and his other books) well written, I don’t want to hit the pause button. One major thing I absolutely LOVE about Pound of Cure and his other books is Faith in God is prevalent. It does not come across like a preacher running bible study rather placing importance and light teaching of how important our relationship with God is. Along with that, I haven’t heard the Lord’s name taken in vain once, contrary to the other books I have been listening too. The Pound of Cure is clean and fit for any age group in my opinion. Nothing graphic, gory, or inappropriate. Please keep it up Mark, you provide a safe place for God fearing people to enjoy a great book, while learning a lot. Thank you so very much.

Enemies of the state are being defined.

Imagine just a few years in the future, the way we are going it won't be hard. Mark just adds a little of his own imagination and if you're like this reader, you'll cringe knowing it could become reality.

disappointed

With all that has happened the last two years, there should have been plenty to inspire a decent story. The first part of this series was adequate but this installment was awful. This book took effort to finish. His leading female characters have a tendency to be childish and annoying.

Very well done. Can't wait till the next book.

Thank you Mark. your books are so relative to what is going on in our country. The progressive Democrats want to destroy our way of life. Thanks be to our Lord this is not our final home.
