Publisher's Summary

Elizabeth is at a crossroads. Will rumschpringe lead her away? Or bring her home? She's been given the chance to experience life outside of her community, away from the responsibility to care for her eight younger siblings, but Elizabeth Bontrager can't decide which road to take. Goshen has its charms and pressures, but Paradise, Pennsylvania, sounds...well, like paradise. And it's also home to her Englisch friend, Paula. Decision made. Elizabeth is Paradise bound. But will the small town live up to its name?

When Elizabeth meets Paula's friend, Bruce, she quickly learns he wants more than a friendship. And the same might be true of Saul Miller, her new boss at the country store that sells Amish products to the Englisch community. As the two compete for her attention, Elizabeth is surprised to realize she misses her family and becomes even more uncertain about where she belongs. She has a choice to make: return home or embrace this new life and possibly a new love?

I really like this book and would read more by this author. I am going to look for more.

This was a very good book. I recommend it for teenagers and adults as well. The storyline as well as the narration is great. It is a beautiful love story. It is written from a great point of you, a woman looking for a place to belong, a woman tired of the every day Monday and ask that she has done all of her life. I enjoyed reading it.

3 A Road Unknown Stars

This is not my normal category to say the least, I didn’t hate it but I didn’t love it either.

The story line was really quiet good but it was a little long and a little dull for me. If you break it down not much really happens but you do see the relationship between Saul and Elizabeth grow and those parts were interesting.

I liked getting to see Elizabeth grow up and put herself forward first and stand up for herself. Right from the beginning you know she isn’t a push over and is done with people telling her what to do.

I guess I just wished Saul had gotten his head out of his butt a little earlier because when they did come together it felt rushed to get to the end.

The narrator was ok, I didn’t really feel much emotion in her voice it was all kind of monotone to me. I found myself with my headphones off and doing something else then being like oh right the book. And I think a great narrator can make you be interested in a book even if the story isn’t really there.

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

Great story

Once again Barbara Cameron writes a heartwarming story. "A Road Unknown " is another in a wonderful series which reflects real-life events about an Amish family , community, and the challenges encountered. I feel like I am part of the family and community. I think it's wonderful how GODLY principles are intertwined throughout the story without shoving "Religion " down anyone's throat. Coleen Marlo does an excellent voice portrayal of all the many characters. I highly recommend this story!!

Finally one worth purchasing

I have had a string of bad luck with 1 star quality books. can't even finish the series it's so bad. This one did it for me. It was relatable and more realistic. The only thing was the ending. It was really abrupt and unsatisfying. I would've been happy with another hour just to wrap things up properly! Good job with this book. You beat out other "big names" but "poor quality". I highly recommend this book. The "romance" wasn't too heavy, thank goodness! I'm not a romance person. But this was nicely comfortable!
