Publisher's Summary

In this latest adrenaline-charged thriller from number one New York Times best-selling author Stuart Woods, Stone Barrington takes on a vengeful rival.

Stone Barrington is looking forward to some quiet time in New York City, until he is asked to transport precious, top-secret cargo across the Atlantic. Taking on the challenge, Stone flies off unaware of what - or who - he is bringing with him.

But his plans to lie low are quickly spoiled when a dangerous dispatcher tracks down Stone and his tantalizing mystery guest, intent on payback - and silencing anyone who poses a threat. From the English countryside to the balmy beaches of Key West, Stone is on an international mission to hide and protect those closest to him.

Waste of a credit

As a long time fan of the Barrington novels, I can’t believe that Woods keeps releasing this ridiculous garbage. The last several have been very bad, but this is the worst. There’s absolutely no plot. As usual, Roberts does a great job on the narration. That’s the only upside to this book. Don’t waste your time or your credit.

A waste of my money.

After finishing this book I felt completely cheated. It was a rehash of old stories, old characters and old places. Nothing new at all. Stone Barrington has outlived himself. I was extremely disappointed.
I am left with the impression that this was just a moneymaking project rather than a story telling project.

Ridiculous

Avoid purchasing this book.
According to Woods the NYPD is powerless against the bad guys.

More story please

Too much sex. Not enough plot. Like the characters but expect more than a roll in the hay and a Knob Creek.

Terrible story

These books are typically mediocre at best. This one was particularly abysmal and I was barely able to finish it.

Thin On Plot

A corrupt Senator’s ex-wife is placed in Stone Barrington’s care for protection. That’s pretty much it as far as plot is concerned. The rest is a mere display of Stone’s fabulous wealth, his friendships with those in high places, and his insatiable sexual appetite.

Very entertaining

loved it. Good fun that had the right ending. The bad guys got exactly what they deserved. None of the good guys were seriously injured. Stone was his usual self and everyone else was his inept side kicks. Well except one person that saved the day.
