Publisher's Summary

A Lycan that can’t shift is no use to anyone.

I’ve made it my mission to be useful to my pack. As pack enforcer, I’m fast and strong, but when the time comes to bond with my mate, it isn’t enough.

Rejection means lone wolf status and isolation from the pack. But when a package arrives with an unexpected inheritance, the pack that wants to shun me suddenly has a new use for me.

Turns out, I’m the proud owner of a house in mysterious territory, rumored to be home to a pack of beautifully twisted shifters. Hawthorne Cove is impregnable to Lycans, but not to a half-human like me.

Now I have a second chance to be accepted by my pack.

All I have to do is infiltrate the Hawthorne pack, find the source of their power, and steal it.

Easier said than done.

Because once I pass the mystical boundaries surrounding the town, I’ll be absolutely and totally at the mercy of the wolves of Hawthorne Cove.

Stunning new series!

Once again Debbie Cassidy completely delivers. I love the creative way she introduces her readers to her version of Lycans. I also love that she always gives you a great main character.

Quinn is strong, but you get to really see her vulnerability as she fights so hard to find her place and prove her worth within and outside the pack. After Quinn is rejected by her mate, she learns her mother left her a house in Hawthorne Cove. Her alpha finds out and has a dangerous plan for Quinn in Hawthorne Cove. She'll learn a lot about herself and even more about what her pack.

You'll have to listen to see who she meets there and what it means for her. One thing is clear, Quinn's life will never be the same.

Not good. FMC was just too dense.

The description says she was rejected by her mate, so no spoilers here. My god!!!! The FMC was oh, so dense and naive. Jes, it took a weirdly long time to realize the most obvious things with so much inner monologue of how angry she is, but she lets her obvious enemies just run all over her. Its just unrealistic and frustrating. I hate when stupid mental hangups get in the way of the actual story. Its a sign of bad character building. I mean it doesn't take a whole book for a MC to come to such obvious conclusions, it just makes it all the harder to take the story seriously. Also, let me tell you something, it takes an awful lot for me to dislike an audio book narrated by Keira Stevens and Troy Duran. They're always going to be awesome, but the FMC just makes little sense to me in her loyalties and weak abilities. It stupifys the story quite a bit. That's all I'm saying.

Loved it!

I really loved this story. There is plenty of action, mystery, intrigue, and suspense to keep me thoroughly entertained, and I loved the characters! The narrators also did an incredible job with the audiobook! I cannot wait for book two!

Whose Sin?

Debbie Cassidy begins her exciting Wolves of Hawthorne Cove series with a strong book one, A Shifter’s Sin.

There is a lot of ‘set up’ in the first book and her female lead character is not as strong as maybe we think she should be, but the storyline moves on unexpectedly and we are pulled in.

The narration, by Kiera Stevens and Troy Duran help set the tone and make the audible story POP from the page!

A world worth getting lost in ...

Wow!
After this experience, I'm officially a Debbie Cassidy fan—I'd now like to read her entire catalogue.

This read manages to blend small-town vibes, fresh-start vibes and more along those lines (new girl in town, something to prove, and more) with mythology, good vs. evil, misunderstandings of epic proportions, legends, drama, what I think is a future best-friends-to-lovers tale, action, a bit of heat and more, while weaving in multiple mysteries. The intrigue never stops and I was hooked from start to finish.

4 stars.

Excellent performance, 5 stars on that front.

Brilliant first in series

What a fantastic first in series. The world building is great. Quinn sets out to earn a place in her pack after her mate rejects her. Her apha has given her an almost impossible task. With her best friend Tate she enters Hawthorne packs teritory. There are many twists and turns, lots of adventure and great back stoies to Quinn and her friends. am off to read the next book. The narration is excellent.
