Publisher's Summary

He's always looked to the stars.

Now she's the brightest light in his universe.

Brilliant astrophysicist Dr. Owen Shaughnessy feels more connected to the cosmos than to people. He's great with calculations, but when he leads a team of scientists to study a famous meteor shower, he doesn't factor in his free-spirited artist assistant, Brooke Matthews.

Polar opposites in personality, the friction between Owen and Brooke threatens to derail the project. But the beauty and mystery of the night sky draw them together - and she's going to surprise him in ways the stars never could.

Best yet from Samantha

This by far the best novel from Ms Chase she has told a good story with an expert hand. The story has everything. My only criticism would be that there is a crisis at the end it could have been cleaner. A romance novel does not have to have boy wins girl, boy loses girl, happily ever after a crisis of total loss is not necessary. There should be a middle ground.

Made for Hallmark

I think it would make a better Hallmark movie than a book. Not a horrible book but I wouldn't recommend it unless a person was looking for cheesy romance.

A beautiful heartache with an inspiring twist.

Creativity is a trait that continues to draw me to author, Samantha Chase. Never has her understanding of the heart been more obvious than Owen Shaughnessy. I knew A Sky Full of Stars would be special and Ms. Chase did not disappoint. In Owen she dreamed up a unique hero that is as clueless as he is unforgettable. He's book smart but emotionally he's like a baby bird learning to spread his wings. He feels deeply, yet doesn't fully ascertain how to express what he feels. In Brooke, he finds his total opposite, but he also learns to not overthink life, LIVE IT. In no way should this couple work but they do. They bring out the best in each other as each learns how to be true to themselves.

I was swept into the story immediately. The entire Shaunasey series was great. Audiobooks really help to bring the story to life.

Love rooting for the underdog

Terrific love story about freeing yourself from the labels, guilt and regrets of your past to accept deserving a HEA of your own. Loved Owen, loved Brooke... although she wasn't as in your face independent woman as some of Chase's females she owned her baggage without blaming anyone else (a little blame to parents but hey that's normal right?) and she came into her own strength without taking from another's or cow towing to her man.

plus their love story had a lovely understated passion that just kept growing with their affection for one another - I like that so much better than the hey let's have unbridled sex 5 minutes into meeting then oh hey I guess it is live now... my world doesn't work that way so always confusing. This to me was a true romance.

I thought the male narrator did such an awesome job with distinguishing the male voices. I always knew when it was Owen vs. any of his other brothers especially Quinn and Riley. I know other reviewers do not Luke his voice as much because the background story voice he uses is a bit effeminate but I think that is how he is able to make the male characters dialog stand out from just narration. To each his own I guess.

I really liked it start to.finish, Love Owen's dynamic with family members ( doalog with his dad, and with his twin was very interesting). I recommend this book. Hope you enjoy it too!

Boring

It was the first book of this author I listened to, and unfortunately, I didn't enjoy it. The characters were weak and the storyline monotonous and slow. The female narrator was a bit irritating for the female lead character.

Enjoyable Read

This was a good read. Owen’s awkwardness was palpable and easy to imagine with the author’s narrative.  Owen’s family dynamics were very realistic.

The only part of the novel I didn’t care for was Brooke’s commentary.  Her voice was breathy and on the verge of laughter, regardless of the context of the conversation.  Her voice was like nails on a chalkboard to me.  Luckily the other characters held my interest.  Because Brooke’s breathy voice and passive attitude about EVERYTHING was maddening.

The s*x scenes were PG-13.   It didn’t make sense for descriptive foreplay and then skipping the intimate details to them laying in bed afterwards. I re-read a passage thinking I missed something. And Brooke’s childlike voice didn’t generate an image of a s*xy adult that the author tried to portray.

The voice of Quinn sounded like a 1950’s gangster. It was unclear why he had an accent and the rest of the family didn’t. His voice was laughable.

Despite the voiceover qualms I had, I enjoyed this novel.

My favorite

Owen definitely became my favorite of all the brothers. His character had me laughing out loud in some parts. I loved how quirky he is. I know a LOT of people complained about Christopher Kipiniak's narration, but after listening to the entire series I have to give that man major props. He had a distinctive voice for every male character in the series and he was consistent throughout the entirety of it. I was extremely impressed by him. Do I prefer my men more growley? Yes I do. However, Christopher is an extremely talented voice actor and I enjoyed listening to every book in this series

Wonderful

Yet again another wonderful and moving story.I love all the Shawnassy's stories, I have each and every one. I hope that we get to read and hear the story of the father Ian aswell. If you love romance then these books completely draw you in to the romance of the couple.
