Story
After centuries of suffering under the English crown, a wealthy American entrepreneur in the 21st century finds an alien craft that can travel through time. That man is my best friend. And he figured out how to use that alien tech with one goal in mind: to go back in time and use our modern technology and knowledge to help the American colonists defeat the English and change the course of history for the better. And why does he ask me to be the one to make this precarious journey? Because after a British official murdered my wife and got away with it, I have nothing left to lose.

Publisher's Summary
After a brush with death at the tender age of nine, Faer Michelson has a near-perfect autobiographical memory. He has a good life, a loving wife, and he's only mildly concerned about Y2K. Sure, no one else remembers Bobby Kennedy was president or that time an alien took over the TV to declare war, but what's that in the grand scheme of things?
Then one day Faer remembers something that he can't shrug off: his own death in 1968.
It turns out the Time Warp isn't just a song in Rocky Horror. Faer finds himself stranded in the past with a shape-shifting alien and an apparition of his best friend. An unearthly decree is made before Faer can sort out how to get home: Save yourself, then save the world.

HIS time travel explained...it's GOOD
I liked it! Not really a time travel book, as much as him jumping around in time to save his future. Pretty cool concept and even cooler reason behind the time travel. I won't give it away. I'll definitely need to re listen so I can get the things I missed. Yep, that kind of book. So many levels to this, you will want to read it over and over.
I listened to the audiobook version of this and it's my first for this narrator. Teddy Martin did an outstanding job of telling this story. Unlike some narrators who simply read the book, Teddy made me believe the characters were real.
I highly recommend this audiobook/book.

Fantastic book and narration.
This book is fantastic! I loved the story and intend on listening again. The detail for each voice, the narrator did so perfect. Not only did I feel like I was part of the door, but thar I knew each character so well. Small nuances were perfectly found for each voice and made the story come alive. Hoping for a 2nd book very soon!

5 Stars!
A Tear In Time is a wonderful take on the concept of time travel with a unique plot that truly encompasses the development of the main character. You feel as if the author is painting her imagination infront of you and the narrator fills in the details and colors with his emotions beautifully! This dynamic duo of her words and his voice portray this one of a kind story in the light it deserves to be shone. I absolutely recommend this book to anyone who is looking to try something new!

Excellent Freshman effort by new narrator
So I'll start by saying that I know the narrator personally and that is why I took a chance on this. I am a sucker for a time travel story so that also hooked me in. I am roughly halfway and in and for the story at this point I am giving it 3 stars. It's okay but I'm not sure where it is going right now. I'm still interested enough that I want to see it through to the end. As for the performance and production it is an excellent freshman effort and I wish Teddy much success. I'm a bit of a narrator snob in that I have certain narrators I like and I'm reluctant to try new ones. Ray Porter is by far my favorite. I am also partial to Will Patton and McLeod Andrews. I will choose what to listen to sometimes based on what my favorites have just released. While Teddy hasn't reached that same level of experience yet, I will add him to my list of narrators that I will consider their work when making my next Audible selection.

Good!
This book is different to say the least. Not one of my usual genres it kept my attention throughout with a very unusual storyline. The characters of which there were quite a few, many of them the same person at different stages of life! The narration was brilliant, I believe this is the first Book Teddy has narrated and he sounds like a veteran, voices for all the characters, clear speech and he makes it very easy to follow the story. Highly recommended!*****
I was kindly given a promo copy of the book by the narrator and leave this honest and voluntary review.
