Publisher's Summary

The only thing protecting me from the demons...is the beast. Nyfain, the golden dragon prince, tried to set me free. But there is no freedom in this kingdom. Not for anyone.

The demons have sought me out. They want to trap me. To use me against Nyfain.

It's only a matter of time before they call in the demon king.

Nyfain thinks I should save myself. That I should barter with the demon king to escape this place. But can I give myself to the creature responsible for torturing the people I love?

In order to save them, though, I might not have a choice.

Must read series

I regret starting this series but love that I started this series. It is filthy but fantastically so. It is hilarious, and heartbreaking. It is everything. To say I am devastated to have to wait until February for the third is putting it lightly. I also loved the narrator and I am highly judgmental on book narrators they can make it break the story imo but that’s just me.

XXXplicit!!!

Lol i would say that this book and this series lends itself more to the genre of erotica then fantasy romance. I enjoyed the hell out of it, but people are weird about this kind of thing and this series is definitely far more explicit with the sexual content than K.F. Breene usually is. i could see some people complaining....Lmao, damn i wish i could use some of Finley's more interesting insults for those people... anywho be warned this boook is not for the pearl clutchers.
I would have given this book a five star all around, but i didn't really like the male lead all that much. I mean anyone who goes through what he has for nearly twenty years would probably be a little bit surly. But the brooding, i'm not good enough for you thing gets kind of old after a bit. It is helped a great deal by Finley 2's hilarious dismissal of everything that isn't her going to bang bang town.
I love Finley, she is hands down the most competent person this author has created yet. Finley 2 is just icing on a decadent cake of awesome. I cannot wait to see what happens next!!!!

I really wanted to like it…but couldn’t finish it.

I listened to the first book and didn’t fall in love with either of the main characters but I liked the premise of the story and the world it was set in so I decided to get this one as well.

What a mistake!

The only character I actually hope to hear about is the drunkard sexually abused butler. On that note, I have no issue with kinky sex but the sexual abuse (esp of the nonconsensual sort) all around in nearly every sex scene is written like a joke. Like…wth?

AND I’m all for brooding Alpha males, but dude! What the hell is there to love about this guy?

And the inner monologue of the MC got pretty tiring very fast. Why the f*** does she say f*** in every sentence if not every clause?

And now audible won’t let me return either books. Nice!

wow

So, this book was great! I do have to say that I wished for more action and less detailed sex scenes, but I was prepared from book 1. I will say that the performance was amazing. SHE is a 5 star. Thank you, you made this book even better. 💜

OMG OMG OMG

I to actually wait a day before doing a review. I'm still recovering from my book hangover. There aren't enough words in my vocabulary to express how freaking amazing A Throne of Ruin is! I'm so happy that I only have to wait until Feb. for the next book!!! KF Breene, you're a genius!!! Also kudos to Tillie Hooper, your narration is perfection and brings these deep and crazy characters to life!! ❤❤❤❤❤

a lot of smut and a clever, capable FL

Finley is the best female lead I've read in a while. I love her. The smut is very, very frequent, but well written.

Wish there were more storyline

While I love the story of forbidden lovers, intrigue, the heroine and her big alpha, I would have loved for the sex scenes to be muted slightly. I love good sex scene, but it felt like this book was one giant sex scene lol. I can't wait for the next book to see where the adventure continues. K.F. Breene has an amazing imagination and she truly brings her characters to life.

Not good

I am a fan of fantasy but this is not good. The story and writing are ridiculous. The performance doing different female/male voices is really hard to listen to. I gave it about 2 hours before I gave up.

Very good storyline,

Normally would not listen to such explicit language but story overcame the boundaries of such speech.

Complete heartbreak

This series is mind-blowinginly good, it's funny, intreeging, inspiring and so full of emotions. The ending broke my heart though, but I hope the future will bring me answers to what happens to the characters.
I will now try to exist without the answers to what happens, and cry for the characters fate.

Wildly Steamy, Romantic, Raw & Compelling!📙🔥🐎😍

A Throne of Ruin (Deliciously Dark Fairytales, #2)
By: K.F. Breene
Audiobook 🎧
Narrated by: Tillie Hooper
Length: 14 hrs and 10 mins

This book picks up right where AROR left of.
Finley wakes & is mad to discover that Nyfain left before he was fully healed. She's determined to rescue him from himself, no matter what his letter & the hole in her middle says!😢 Here starts some very enjoyable & panty melting, letters with book exchanges between them both.😍🔥

Finely eventually gets back to the castle. She's been missed by Hadriel especially & her maid, Leyla, is so happy to have her back as well.😁 The drafts that she left with them have caused some hilarious revelations. They all fear it will bring the Demon King back to them to find out what's happening though!😳

Nyfain and Finley have made strides in their relationship. She's *very* willing to try new things that intrigue her. Just because she's a strong, independent woman, it doesn't mean she can't enjoy giving up control at times, Will Nyfain be as willing to try the same though?🧐 Feelings are becoming tangled and their animals are very pushy! She's starting to wish they could be mates.💔

Finley tentatively thinks she may have finally found a cure? Well it seems very good at slowing the disease at least.🙏 Then a young girl from a different village shows up at the castle, she's desperate & begs for help. Now we'll meet a side of Finley we've never seen before! Hold on tight.😱💥

This book actually outstripped AROR by one whole star for pace, character development, storyline, steam, tension, angst ... Well everything if I'm honest! So, was I too hasty with my 5 star for AROR? No, I don't think so.🤔 I believe the Author just turned EVERYTHING UP a notch. This is a 5🌟+ read. I was blown away.🤯
From when a certain someone arrives on the scene, it went to *yet another level* again!😲 That ending though .... Agonising.😭💔😭

This narrator deserves medals & statuettes for her ability to bring these varied characters & the often salacious, situations they're found in, to life with her vocal abilities.😍🌟 She had me doubled over laughing at her acting of Hadriel & a few others then squirming during the library scene. This went on throughout the book. The utter heartbreak that she conveyed in the last couple of chapters is sheer gold dust!😭💔 I can't imagine anyone else narrating this series now. Truly & completely compelling and unmissable.🌟🌹🌟

Pure capsaicin (Santa, can I please have my own Hadriel?)

Listened! Devoured it! Loved it!
(Disclaimer: if you don’t like spice, this isn’t for you. If you do, this is pure capsaicin)

Gotta say the first book got me feeling a bit sheepish… Throne of Ruin got me hooked!

Enjoyed both, but the second instalment brought forth the best in all characters.

Well, that’s not exactly true, Hadriel has been AMAZING since his first appearance. Love him. Want one!!

The heroine stole my heart and Nyfain…. Well, the soft filling made him an even tastier beast.

Yes!

This series was definitely not what I was expecting, but I got more than I bargained for.
The characters were insane, it was fantastic.
Erotic, hilarious, dark, sexy, confusing, and intense.
Absolutely loved every second. Can't wait for the third book, I have a feeling it's going to be epic.

Don’t Bother

Boy did I struggle with Book 1 & 2 in fact I skipped most chapter in book two. Very little story and a whole lot of sex in fact I’m going to return this. Very disappointed in the author.
