A Woman After God's Own Heart

Wonderful! I loved her sincere loving voice. Elizabeth makes you want to be more like her as a Christian, a wife, and mother. As any book, there are some things we believe and just need reminding, other ahhh moments, and there are those things that may not work for us. This book was one that could be listened to many times, to just help us keep on track and focused as a Women after God's Own Heart.

My Soul is Settled

I loved this book. I'm glad I got the Audio version and was able to hear out in the authors own voice. Elizabeth George exudes the peace, calm, and caring characteristics that I seek to obtain. In a time of turmoil a friend recommended the book and I'm so glad she did. I was able to listen as I blessed my home with cleanliness. And I did it with a smile. I'm not stressed about submitting and my husband and kids see and feel the difference in my and our household.

Great advice for an aspiring woman of God

The book opening started off a little bit questionable as to the author's focus and tone of the book, but that quickly passed. The book turned out to be a wise guide to becoming a woman after God's own heart, meaning a woman who strives to be godly and follow our Lord obediently. The author used scripture to back up her claims of how to be a godly woman and she didn't disappoint. I'll admit it won't be easy to follow her plan, but if you are a child of God, then the Holy Spirit will convict and lead you to be such a godly woman as this. I especially liked the sections on being a wife, mother, and homemaker. Although I am not yet all 3, I strive to be a godly woman in all of these areas and more.

Godly Advice

This book is a great resource for a woman who is desiring to follow God. It came across a bit old school to me at first but as I continued to listen I realized that is not a bad thing. I am thankful I found Elizabeth’s book, it has inspired me in my walk in several areas.

A Woman After God's Own Heat, a true delight.

Even though I had read "A Woman After God's Own Heart" many years ago, I delighted in listening to this soft mellow voice teach such important principles necessary for a Christian woman.

easy read

Good teaching book for the married. Could use for singles wanting or approaching marriage. Nice read. Would be great for a small group of young wives and mothers, or women struggling with marriage. Explains the why should I question.

A must-listen for a Christian Woman

The book was very inspiring to me, it helped me change my attitude towards my life and my family. Drawbacks are sometimes I felt it was repeating itself and at some points it became fairly unrealistic, but still I could make use of what's in it for me!

No the full book

I was particularly disappointed when I sat down to read along and found the audio jumping from paragraph to paragraph. Huge chunks were missing which was really disappointing.

wise Instruction

when I first started listening to this book I didn't like what I was hearing so didn't bother to listen to the rest.
Now that I am spending a bit of time at home I thought I would give it another listen and listened to the whole book which is full of wise instruction. I recommend this book to all women who are married or single especially with children. it makes so much sense and encourages a life in Christ as the woman of the home. I have listened to this book over and over and always Puck up something new. it really is a great listen, which motivates as well as uplifts.
