Publisher's Summary
Do you want to stop paying the huge cost of emotional dysregulation? Are you wondering what it takes to overcome these hidden struggles preventing you from living now to your full potential?
- Do your friends find it difficult to accept your expressive assaults or when you talk too much?
- Are you experiencing difficulties getting things done unless it’s becoming an emergency?
- Do you feel frustrated knowing that your best skills are ruined by a lack of organization?
- Meeting demands seems harder than dropping water from rocks?
- Do you feel overwhelmed by mood swings that make you jump from the highest emotional peak to the lowest?
- Forgetting appointments - it’s becoming an Olympic sport, and you are the winner!
- Hyperactivity may seem fun, but you get bored very easily, right?
It is not your fault. It is brain management systems. Don’t let ADHD symptoms hold you back from living to your full potential.
Rise above emotional chaos and grasp from this book the action plan to positively change your life. One step at a time. Progressively. Consistently.
Symptoms of ADHD occur in both women and men, but the misconception that men suffer from it more often leads to later diagnosis and often inadequate treatment for women. That’s why in women this disorder frequently goes unrecognized, despite the even greater emotional turmoil ADHD may trigger in them.
Furthermore, women have more tasks to perform and more roles to fill every single day. Every week, every month, 365 days a year. As life partners, as mothers, as workers, as entrepreneurs. Being a mother, having to cope with those daily practical issues as well as playing the social game in that "perfect way" (with those ADHD symptoms) may not be such fun.
This up-to-date and clearly written audiobook describes what ADHD syndrome is, how it can be recognized at different ages, and how it can best be handled.
Let’s dive together in this guide, where you will find:
- Emotive eruptions vs controlled response. Pull the brake, spring the brake
- Balancing your reactions
- The healing power of organization. Planning, goal setting, prioritizing, defining tasks in smallest steps, one by one
- Best jobs that would benefit your needs, and why do they suit you
- The role of medications and cognitive behavioral therapy. How they work and the way your daily life can benefit from them
- How to play the social game. Why ADHD is hurting your relationships more than you realize (and the nine key steps to master your social skills before you push everyone away for good)
- Seven executive functions that really work at work and in family situations
Did you know that Richard Branson and Justin Timberlake actually used ADHD on their way to success? What are you waiting for? Don’t worry. You don't have to do everything right away. Give yourself time - just get started!

I stopped listening just before chapter three. Chapter 2 sounded like a Jeff Foxworthy event. If you are impulsive, you might have ADHD. You settle your mind, you might have ADHD, Do you struggle with focusing on a conversation, you might have ADHD. I purchased this because I have already been diagnosed and know all of the symptoms. And was looking for a book that could help be find best practices to deal with the symptoms.
