Publisher's Summary

A mage out of her element.

After 500 years as a magic teacher, Selia thought she'd seen everything. But nothing prepared her for the chaos of her assignment at Braelyn. Assassins, rogue princes, and a grown, half-human student - all had caught her off guard. Now, things have settled down, and her life has begun to take on a sense of normalcy. Until her seemingly dead husband reappears astride a dragon with a dire warning about Earth.

An adventurer far from home.

For seven years, Aris was held captive on the isle of dragons, hidden so well that only his captor knew of his presence. But when a dragon claims him as her rider and flies him away on an urgent mission, Aris isn't certain he wants to return home. Tortured and scarred, not even thoughts of his lost family renew his desire for life. Unfortunately, death isn't on the table - not with danger threatening multiple worlds.

A widening abyss.

Life might have settled on Moranaia after Prince Kien's death, but the rogue prince hasn't gone to his death as quietly as his people believed. As poison seeps into a crack in Earth's energy field, a greater catastrophe looms. Now, a dragon, a broken adventurer, and an uncertain mage are the only ones who stand in the way of disaster.

Magic Teacher Selia's reunion

Selia and Aris were married and had a son - then Aris is believed to be dead in a horrible accident, but has actually been held prisoner and tortured for 7 years.

Then her apparently dead husband shows up riding a dragon saying Earth is in danger...and gone is the strong confident Aris that Selia used to know. He's been tortured and doesn't know how to react to anyone, even his own son.
Selia and Aris need to work together to save the Earth from the poison seeping into its energy field but Aris' tortured past keeps haunting him -

This book discusses mental health issues and PTSD after being chained and tortured for 7 years. It may be a well written paranormal story but can be a little too raw for some readers.

Ok...

This one felt like I was plopped down in the middle of a story that had been going on for a while. It took a while for me to really get into the story. I usually have more to say but this is kinda all I got for this story. Could have probably done without this one. But I will say that the dragon was pretty funny at times.

Inside Bethany's Head

It has been a pleasure visiting Bethany's mind. If you've ever wondered what it's like inside the head of a woman look no further. Sometimes frustrating and so many characters but the world she creates is beautiful and i enjoyed my time here very much.

Chapters in book 5 are off by one its weird but fine.

Another excellent installment!

The story of the Elves just gets better and better. The link between the worlds is so real, one wonders if it is really there and have missed it! The narration is exceptional and provides an excellent listening experience.

graphic violent, but good story

Lots of gory graphic violence. A few times it left me queasy. Addictive plot, well delivered.
