To start off, this is not the normal kind of thin

To start off, this is not the normal kind of thing I do or sign up for. I'm a 21 year old college student that works 2 jobs with virtually no time to spare. A professor of mine (that worked with him) recommended his workshop and his book. Had it not been for the promise of extra credit I never would have made time for it. But boy howdee am I happy I went! Using his techniques I cut my study time in half, I learn more while I'm in lecture, and I'm more productive at work. Thank You !

The overall key to learning according to the book

The overall key to learning according to the book is somewhat subtle, combining practice, practice, practice with high quality. If we practice at techniques yielding low quality results, then we will get good at that type of result. In other words, practice only makes perfect, if one is working at techniques that yield perfection. Many, many potentially helpful techniques for learning are presented. Overall, this seems to be a very practical book focused on improving our learning techniques and in making learning more efficient. I found the theoretical framework, too, to be useful, so I think this book is generally helpful for anyone who is engaged in learning, not just students in school.

I'm a veteran returning to college, and I started

I'm a veteran returning to college, and I started to really struggle and experiencing test anxiety and it seemed no matter how I studied I was still doing bad on exams. after readying this book and learning about my brain and what works best for how I studied, has been very beneficial so far. some of the stuff I knew but there is nothing wrong with finding some of the same information that what was once lost in my brain. I will also add this, it's easier said than done and breaking habits. Also do the test, and go to the recommended websites. do the book and the question. I learned that my brain is accessing more of the left side than the right. I also learned what I need to do, to access more of the right side, which should really help retaining and memory for the next classes. I recommend this book for any student in or out of college.
