2. Small Business Terms ( The Smart Owner Guide for Startup & Success, Accounting, Finance, Taxes and LLC Management ) Financial IQ Series, Book 13 by Thomas Herold.

Who doesn't have 15 minutes a week?

I bought this book after having taken an introductory financial accounting class as part of a graduate MBA program. This book tied together almost all of the pertinent concepts from the textbook into a very concise reference using simulated transactional examples. Although this book could be read and understood by someone with little or no experience with accounting concepts, I think it is much more appropriate for someone with at least fundamental conceptual understanding.

Setting the pace.

This timeless reference is a good possession for accountant and non-finance alike. I am listening it like, two hours a day, as I am planning for personal investment and want to avoid risky investment. It is great to know the fundamental analysis for person like me. This book is a great manual to learn about the topic. Highly recommend.

Best one I've read so far

Great book to learn from zero or to refresh key accounting concepts, including test for the CPA Exam. Easy to understand. Based on practical examples, following a storyline. Thus, it is carefully written and presented, resulting in a very didactic resource, just designed to Bookkeeping and Finance Principles, Tax Accounting & Management for Business. I do recommend it.

How to Make it on What You Make

I have no financial training whatsoever. However, this book makes the process dummy proof and transparent. I am a doctor operating my own practice and the concepts and skills discussed in this book will help me gain and implement a foundation of financial literacy and applied financial savvy. It could not have been more useful or packed with better content. Only the essential stuff is included in this GEM!

Like talking to a friend who's good with financial

I am so glad I read the reviews and went with the flow and bought this book. I have taken accounting courses during my MBA and this book has really help simplify some of the most complex concepts. I am refreshing some of my financial breakdown skills and this book is incredible. Sad to say this book has made breaking down income statements and etc better then my college professors! Great read! Highly recommended.

A useful introductory book

This book does exactly what its title says. This is my third book of the series and I love everything about how Herold makes everything simple. You will not become a expert but you will have better understanding.
