This is often because of the erroneous assumption that in order to play the guitar, one needs to be able to read music, or understand complex musical notation. There are also those who shy away from learning the guitar on account of how daunting the subject of learning to play seems in most books and teaching material. This is where this book comes in.

Great for Beginners

Great for beginners who are not yet good at reading musical notation. Along with the notes on the staff, it shows which string and which finger to use for each note. The songs are commonly known and easy to play.

The Best Book on Learning Scales

LOTS of exercises that really will help. One example; If I choose a note anywhere on the fretboard, I can now find every other location of that note on the entire fretboard in seconds. And to know where a root note it is to know where to begin and end licks, riffs, chords.....and so much more!

Stellar introduction to the fretboard

Each chapter builds on material from the last and when you get to seventh chords and extensions you go beyond just playing them, you understand them. This book is required reading for anyone wanting a full understanding of the guitar fretboard.

Very instructive. Great teacher.

I am now very knowledgeable of many how’s and whys of playing the guitar. If you do all of the things that the author tells you to do, and do it diligently, you cannot help but learn all you need to know about the keyboard. I have learned so much that I had to stop and practice to digest it all and lock it into my brain.

Awesome one

Its not a memorization technique most other books provide. But a pattern technique that looks to lead me into scales and chords. I have been working in this workbook for the last 4 weeks and to date, I know the location of every A B C and D notes. it simply the best book for fretboard navigation. buy it you won't regret it.
