Publisher's Summary

Learning to fight comes to Kyle like he is remembering something he had forgotten. Perhaps that makes sense as the reincarnated War God.

But weapons skills are not enough; Kyle has to learn to work with a team. More than that, he doesn't even know who the real enemies are yet. All that is going to change though, and the heavens will shake as the War God makes his presence felt once again.

Exceeds the first and that’s not easy.

I can’t write a review to simply why I think so. I’ll save you some time and just tell you. Stop… reading this… take your credit and hit purchase. You won’t regret it you’ll just be anticipating the next book in the end. Kyle’s rise to God hood is a gem of a story.

Another d-bag MC, but you can handle it.

As always, these two voice actors are on point.
The MC is another insufferable OP idiot. One minute he wants to be kind, then wants everyone to cower before him. That aside, it is a fun and decently thought out world. most of it's consistent "power" wise excluding the main cast who seemed to be heavily based on porn, DBZ and the game of the same title as the book.

Great Second Book

Great second book in the series. The main character’s Development continues at a good pace but not so much that it overwhelms the story. The other characters are more flushed out and become more intricate to the overall plot.

I highly recommend the book and give it an enthusiastic five stars

One tiny problem...

I do love this story, it's characters, and especially the wonderful narrators voicing them.

My only real hang-up is the constant references to professional baseball before he makes some "big" decision. I was cool with it in the first book, given that it was an origin, as are most first books in a series. Now though, it's starting to wear on me. It seems to me that a lot of the call backs to his former life that carry some semblance of wisdom in regards to what his life now involves are all the same, the author just changes a few of the words up here and there to fit into the narrative of whatever circumstance the MC is put in. When this doesn't feel heavy-handed, it feels entirely needless - like the author just left the fluff in.

Maybe I'm being picky, but we've already well and truly established both his background and his aspirations, trying to tie all that back into his time as a pro baseball player just seems kinda pointless - just keep the fantasy story moving.

I'll still be getting the next book, but I hope the author lays off the baseball stuff a bit.

filler book.

the writing in this one isn't as good as the first and if I had a dime for every time the author put the word "though" in the sentence where it was not needed I wouldn't play the lottery. I almost turned this off because of it.
Author do better. Editor do your job. This is just terrible.

so to the story. the idea is good a developing war God that wants to shake things up. I can dig that. toss in some hot support and a cut throat back ground with a competitive MC. I can get behind that. But, the execution is so elementary and emo its sad. I can't see myself continuing this.

that is my take on it. by all means give it a go yourself and let the rest know what you think.
