Story
He's a billionaire heir. A grump supreme. Hater of people. Bigger hater of peopling with people. And my new fake boyfriend. "Emotionally unavailable" doesn’t even begin to describe Hayes Rutherford. He has more defenses than a nuclear missile silo. And he’s the ultimate catch of the century. At least, according to his bank statement. My job’s simple: Keep all interested ladies away from the walled-off heir, by pretending to be his one true love. But you know what they say about fake-dating a billionaire: It’s all fun and games, until the scandals start.

In Truly Madly Guilty, Liane Moriarty takes on the foundations of our lives: marriage, sex, parenthood, and friendship. She shows how guilt can expose the fault lines in the most seemingly strong relationships, how what we don't say can be more powerful than what we do, and how sometimes it is the most innocent of moments that can do the greatest harm.

Publisher's Summary
Sometimes even good girls need to be a little bad....
Marla Jean Bandy might be down, but she's not out. Even though her no-good ex-husband left her for another woman - a Bookmobile -driving librarian 20 years her senior - Marla Jean won't settle for another lonely night. She's not ready for Mr. Right, but why not have a little fun with Mr. Right Now? The only wrench in her plan is her childhood crush, Jake - and the memory of the one toe-curling kiss they shared on a hot summer night years ago....
One look at Marla Jean is enough to make any red-blooded man sit up and take notice - especially the kind of man nice girls should avoid. Jake knows he should let her make her own mistakes, but he owes it to her brother to look after her. Trouble is, the harder he tries to do the right thing, the harder it is to resist Marla Jean. She needs a man to make her believe love will last, and for once in his life, Jake wonders if that could be him.

Absolutely Awesome!!!!
I am so glad someone before me took the time to write a review and suggest this book. It is absolutely adorable.
It's about a girl trying to recover from her divorce and finding love in her hometown. Not a new idea but presented in the freshest of ways. Full of wit and humor.
Molly Cannon is one of the most creative writers I have heard in a long time. Reminds me a bit of Susan Elizabeth Phillips. I laughed the entire way through this endearing story and hated when it was over.
Susan Bennett did such an amazing job in capturing the hometown flare. I can't say enough good things about this book without giving all the best parts away but I highly recommend it. I can't wait for Cannon's second book to be available at audible. One of my top 10 for sure!!!!
Cannon and Bennett are both extremely talented!!!!

Laugh Out Loud - Funny, Adorable, Ms. Cannon
"Ain't Misbehaving" by Molly Cannon is a fun listen, especially as narrated by Susan Bennett. Set in the Great State of Texas, "Ain't Misbehaving" is an adorable tale about a recently divorced, Marly Jean Bandy, and her somewhat "lumpy" journey back into the dating world...Her newlywed, and over-protective older Brother, Lincoln...and his best friend, Jake, whose secret attraction for Marla Jean drives him crazy, and curls her toes.
This is Molly Cannon's only book on audible, and while I believe she is new to the industry, I truly hope to see many more books by her on audible, and I hope that she has Susan Bennett as her narrator.
Definitely Credit Worthy!

A Funny and Well Written Debut
This book was fun to read. It wasn't deep, serious or thought-provoking, although the main characters were both very sympathetic. It was a great weekend read. I laughed out loud several times and thought the narrator captured the characters very well. You felt sorry for the heroine but the author never let it sink to pity. Instead you had to admire her tenacity and her ability to rise above an embarrassing situation, all the while cracking jokes. The secondary story lines and characters were all well written and there are several I would like to learn more about. The older woman with a bookmobile angle was definitely unique and Marla Jean's ex was appropriately tacky.
The narrator was great and the writing was as well. I am looking forward to her next book. This one was lots of fun.

Charming & Delightful!
Would you consider the audio edition of Ain't Misbehaving to be better than the print version?
haven't read the book but Susan Bennett is an excellent reader! She made the characters come alive in my head and compassion as well as passion had a wealth of feeling.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Ain't Misbehaving?
Entire book was filled with charmingly funny moments.
Which character – as performed by Susan Bennett – was your favorite?
Marla Jean
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
when Jake realized he loved Marla Jean
Any additional comments?
Wish Molly Cannon had more books on Audible, I'd jump on them!

Narrator excellent, too bad story wasn't
What would have made Ain't Misbehaving better?
A story that didn't act like the reader was stupid. This was the most ridiculous story I have listened to and I almost didn't make it to the end.
What was most disappointing about Molly Cannon’s story?
That it dragged on, and on, and on, and on. I got to the point where I didn't care about the characters anymore. There was so much "chatter" it seemed like she was just trying to fill pages (with nonsense!)
What does Susan Bennett bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
She has a fantastic voice and makes all the characters different. If it hadn't been for her I don't think I would have finished the book.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
I kept saying over and over in my head "you've got to be kidding me!" It was bad. Don't waste you credits like I did.

one of the best
Any additional comments?
The narrator's rendition with southern accents was charming. It's chick list so don't expect anything heavy. But it was one of the best I've listened to. Very entertaining, hilarious and not too corny. Would have preferred at least one more steamy scene. I actually looked forward to listening to it whereas most of the times my audio books are just a way to make my daily commute more enjoyable. Looking forward to more reads from this author.

I LOVED THIS BOOK !!!!!!
I loved this book!! Is was heartfelt, interesting and just an over-all feel good story. This is my first book by Molly Cannon and I will for sure be looking for others by her. She was great with Southern charm and one-liners! I fell in love with the characters and simply did not want it to end. Would love a sequel of this one! Recommend!
