Another great book by Ally Carter!
I love Ally Carter's books and while I have to admit I didn't love it quite as much as her two other series, it was still great and good set up for the rest of the series. I read/listened non-stop other than a short break to sleep. I'd recommend this to anyone who likes a good book with clean language, no graphic sexual situations, a little espionage, and strong characters.

Confused
This book is very dramatic. It’s a sort of picture into a PTSD brain I think. The ending is a cliffhanger. I need to know what is going on! I guess I’ll have to hurry up and get the next one or forever suffer the anxiety of my confusion.

Amazing
I love this book I like the ending with the cliffhanger and I can't wait for the next book. I also like that the book showed what was hopping in Grace's mind. The ending did indeed make me cry. I recommend this book to everyone who is willing to cry.

was hoping for more
I have listened to several books by this author before and loved them. When one did not come out in audio I even read the book not such an easy task for a someone with Dislexia. The problem I had with this book was I found the main Character Grace while whine. She gradded on me. I had to stop the book a couple of times and leave it for a day because I couldn't stand how whine she was I don't know if that is the performance or if that is how she was written or maybe a combination of the two. I am unsure if I will listen to the next book in the series. As for this one not my favorite by Ally Carter.

Skipping the rest
Whiny girl. Predictable plot (at least I predicted it, and I'm not generally great at that). Characters I really didn't care about. I almost didn't get through it. I don't expect YA fiction to be brilliant, although it occasionally is. But it should at least be entertaining. Think Shannon Hale. Or Gary D. Schmidt.
Remember that low point of the Hunger Games trilogy when you got so tired of Katniss being a mess that you wanted to bang your head against the wall? That's this book. From start to finish. Won't be catching the rest of the series.

Love the potential of this series.
Although the idea of her constant fixation on the scarred man is annoying; I can see where Miss Carter is going with this and I applaud it and can't wait for it to reach it's potential. The first book is about our young heroine finding her truth and the next will be about her finding her strength. I hope that she paces it though, it got a little cloudy at the end of this first installment but I highly recommend it because I can see quite the story forming here. She doesn't give away too much, really makes you hunger for it. Love it. Some may not but that's only cause they are not looking hard enough.

May have enjoyed it more, if read by myself
I enjoyed Ally Carter's other Gallagher Girl series and was hoping for something as good.
Not sure if my "ho, hum" feeling to the book was due to the writing or the reading of it. The reader of the book did ok, but she made the main character seem very whiny. I don't think I would have read her that way and maybe would have enjoyed the story a bit more.
It did have me guessing most of the way through as to the "mystery", though there was a little crack in the window at one point in the book that had me thinking how it was going to end up, but not completely sure.
