Story
I've been in love with my best friend since forever. Okay, fine. Like, kindergarten. It started out platonic, obviously, but then became.... Nope. Still platonic. The problem is that Parker Ellis has been straight since forever. And that makes it difficult to convince him that the two of us are meant to be together. And now, there's no point. All is lost. He's gone and gotten engaged to his high-school sweetheart - which means I have to grin and bear it, while pretending to be the happy, supportive best man, while he prepares to commit his life to a woman.

From an early age, Simon’s life has been marked by loss. After the death of his father, Simon and his infant brother are ripped from their home in Tel Aviv and forced to settle in a small mountain town in the US where no one speaks his language. By the age of 12, Simon is an orphan. By the age of 21, Simon finds himself the unwilling owner of his bubbe’s bakery, and the hesitant guardian of his little brother. Terrified of losing what little he has left, Simon dedicates himself to his faith, sacrificing everything to keep the fragile scraps of his broken family

The job at Sunday Orchard was supposed to be temporary. A chance to gain some work experience, to have some fun. I had not expected to be welcomed into a family of gorgeous and weirdly efficient lumberjack-types, or to find purpose in the tiny Vermont town whose claim to fame seemed to be apple-based products and copious amounts of charm. And I most definitely hadn’t expected to fall for Knox Sunday, my grumpy, burly, fifteen-years-older, reluctant roommate, with his infuriating lectures, his hot-as-fire body, his superior attitude - I’ve never been one to put down roots.

Kind, caring, and protective. Those are the three qualities I’m looking for when it comes to my dream man. In a city as big as Chicago, you wouldn’t think he would be that hard to find, right? Wrong. Sure, my boss found a super-sexy detective and my best friend fell madly in love with the most eligible bachelor around. But the only person I’ve met recently is a broody bad boy who saved me at a sketchy pub. He’s grumpy, rude, and honestly, not that likeable at all. Hardly my “dream” guy. So why can’t I stop thinking about him?

Payne. In search of: Room to rent. Must ignore the patheticness of a 40-year-old roommate. Preferably dirt cheap as funds are tight (nonexistent). There’s nothing sadder than moving back to my hometown newly divorced, homeless, and lost for what my next move is. When my little brother’s best friend offers me a place to stay in exchange for menial duties, I swallow my pride and jump at the offer. I need this. I also need Beau to wear a shirt. And ditch the gray sweatpants. And not leave his door ajar when he’s in compromising positions...

It started out as a little fun. When there was a man in my building on a hookup app, why not message him? Only we didn’t meet. We just texted - one night after the other, after the other. GoodWithHisHands was the perfect escape from my life, where pressure was always on my shoulders: my father’s expectations, the worry about my sister, Maddy, getting sick again, and her ex-husband, Ryder Lynwood, suddenly back and volunteering at the same hospital as me. I like talking to him, the same way I enjoy chatting with GoodWithHisHands. They weren’t supposed to be the same person.

He’s not really a Marian or a Wilde despite having DNA ties to both. I spent college worrying about responsibilities and earning my teaching degree, so before graduation and moving to Atlanta with my best friend, Ross, I figure I deserve a little fun. I’ve never been with an older man, but the guy at the bar grabs my attention and doesn’t let go…for multiple rounds, all night long. The next day, when Ross introduces me to his dad, the last thing I expect is for him to be my hookup from the night before, in town from Atlanta for his son’s graduation. The best thing would be to pretend it never happened, which is easier said than done.

I’m a SEAL. Or rather, I was. Retired at the grand old age of 38, I’m at loose ends. My best friend wants me to join his security team. I’m not sure I’m bodyguard material, but he needs someone to protect his kid brother. How hard can spoiled brat duty be? Somehow, I missed the part where former child star Danny Love went from dorky TV darling to all grown up and disturbingly attractive. All the gossip about his wild ways fails to mention that he’s trying hard to clean up his act.

If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times. Friends don't bang friends. I want my friends to stay in my life, especially that flirty, clever, outgoing best friend of mine. It's a darn good thing Owen and I made a pact in college to never ever sleep together, or else I'd be tempted. Trouble is, eight years later, I've been wondering what his kisses taste like. And I've been curious if our chemistry would extend into the bedroom. If he might feel the same risky pull. But I don't want to lose Owen.

Publisher's Summary
He was the best thing that ever happened to him...in the worst way.
West Balkany lived his life by one rule: make your own luck. And that means fighting his slum lord when his building starts falling apart, forcing himself to finish school no matter how much he wants to quit, and most importantly, never do something as stupid as falling in love.
Unfortunately, that last part isn’t so easy when his gorgeous one-night-stand who dragged him into a bar supply closet and made him see god, keeps turning up everywhere he goes.
But he doesn’t have time for Jake- no matter how much he wants to. His father’s health is failing, his deli is barely getting by, and now he’s facing a massive legal suit against Larsen Property Management for trying to kick everyone out into the streets. He also knows that Jake is hiding something, and he’s pretty sure whatever it is, it’s enough to turn his life upside down.
But Jake also makes him want to try, and that’s what scares him the most.
Jakob Larsen spent his life running from the man his father always wanted him to be, but that all comes to a stop when the man announced he was leaving LPM. He finally has a chance to prove to both his brother and to St. James that he can turn Larsen Property Management around and do something good for the people his father has been tormenting all these years.
The problem is, he’s just not quite sure how, when no one trusts him to do the right thing.
And it doesn’t help that Jakob has found himself distracted, falling for a gorgeous, stoic deli owner who has no idea who he really is. All Jakob has ever wanted was to be truly loved, but now that he’s found the one person he could see himself growing old with, he has to face the truth: everything they have is based on a lie.
Will he ever be a man worthy of forgiveness, or will he have to face the fact that everything he touches turns to dust?
All You Touch is the second book in the low-angst, humorous, steamy series, Love Starts Here. It contains no cheating, and a happily ever after.

Good storyline
This 2nd book carries on with the two companies in James town. One good and one evil! I did have some issues with this book. I can’t get my head around not knowing the last name of the guy you keep sleeping with. I realize it creates the drama and it’s fiction. But come on we are not that stupid. I expected more creativity in the handling of these characters and not making them out to be that stupid either.

A New Favorite
I really loved this book so much. I finally realized what it is about EM Lindsey's books that I enjoy the most is how she portrays all characters as real people that you could meet everyday. The heroes have flaws that you and their significant other must learn to accept/deal with, she shows people with a different range of physical/mental/emotional challenges living life and still being able to have an HEA. This book showed all of those things while still at times being humorous and having steamy times. Nick Hudson also does a great job of bring each character to like.

Jake and West
I really enjoyed this story. I liked West from the previous story I'd read and was so happy to have his story and I wasn't disappointed.
I liked the story built between West and Jake. How West thought Jake had no money when he met him and how kind he was about it. West is a good guy. then you have Jake who is trying to do the right thing but is in a rough place with the way his father is. It was a great story and the narrator did a good job of telling it.

Jakob and West Find Love
As the second book in the ‘Love Starts Here’ series, and not having read Book 1, I feel that this book stands alone well. There are hints of the previous book’s couple, but I don’t feel that I missed crucial details from that book that are necessary to understanding this one.
Each person perceives the amount of angst differently. Lindsey is calling this series low-angst, but my angst-o-meter needle points firmly to ‘medium’ for this story. West and Jakob have a lot of identity-angst, both searching for the ‘spark’ to show them their life's direction. It’s not until they meet that they're able to leave the ennui of their mundane lives behind. It struck me after finishing the story that Lindsey has provided readers with a subtle twist on the fated-mates trope.
The story is filled with interesting, likeable characters. It’s primarily an enemies-to-lovers story (which only Jakob is aware of throughout most of the book because he’s lying by omission to West). There are a few steamy scenes, several fun getting-to-know-you scenes, a short road trip with meet-the-parents, and the happily-ever-after ending includes the entire found family.
Other than a little inconsistency in West’s accent, Nick Hudson delivers a terrific performance.
I requested this audiobook be given to me for free as an ARC. This post includes a few of my honest and voluntary opinions on it.
Recommended.

Nick Hudson knocks it out of the part narrating this story!
West and Jake are meant to be. They just work together. The chemistry and connection between these two jumps off the pages.
This mistaken identity/secrets coming out story kept me glued to the book.
Both men are dealing with life choices and their decisions will affect their future relationship.
Watching them figure things out and grow together is wonderful.

I liked the story about men from two very different worlds falling in love. Loved the book, enjoyed this performance even more
West and Jake have explosive chemistry in their one night stand, but West is fighting for the survival of the family business and to save his and his neighbors' homes from a slumlord. As soon as we know who Jake is, we can see the explosion coming and still it's heartbreaking. It is a rough road to rebuild trust but so worth reading about in this wonderful, heartwarming story. I loved this when I read it,but it is even better to hear the performance by Nick Hudson. Hearing West's pain at what he feels is a betrayal and Jake's desperation to make things right was heartbreaking. I don't think there's an audiobook performer out there who does the HEA joy and wrap-ups better than Nick Hudson.

Unknown enemies to true lovers
I adore E.M. Lindsey and snap up as many books of hers as I can. I missed book 1 in this series and clearly the previous couple had quite a story, but I wasn’t lost as I settled into this one. As always, there are a huge number of characters because she’s setting up a series, but I coped.
I really loved these two men.
West has carved out a decent life for himself. He’s taken over his uncle’s deli and although money is always a worry, and he can’t afford to hire help, he’s also managing some courses at the local college at night. He’s surviving – as he has for most of his life. It’s not a wealthy existence, and life can be stressful, but he’s coping.
Jakob – or Jake as he prefers – has a good life. He’s been in Europe for years representing his family’s interests. Even had a French fiancée. But his father’s failing health has recalled him to America where he finally has to face what his family business has been up to – gentrification that is stealing homes away from impoverished people who can’t afford the new fancy places built when their buildings are torn down. When he comes up against a particularly stubborn tenant, he knows things are about to get heated.
Jake hides his identity because he wants to get to know West without the pressure of his family name. That backfires – of course – and when all is revealed, it doesn’t go well. But love can be a sneaky devil and eventually the men find their way back to each other.
Like I said, I enjoyed the book. Am really looking forward to seeing where this series goes.
And, of course, I have to mention Nick Hudson. His narration style suits Ms. Lindsey’s books and it’s always a pleasure to listen. Can’t wait for the next one.

Sometimes you have to let go
I really enjoyed this story, but I think I would disagree with the low-angst assertion. West has so much angst and turmoil, he is practically drowning in it. To his credit, he's a fighter and he never gives up, but he needs to learn to let others help sometimes. He also needs to learn to focus on himself and what he wants...once he figures out what that is. Jake has his own troubles. He wants to do what's right, but feels unable. Will he find the strength to stand up to his father? Will West and Jake both learn learn that sometimes the only way to win a tug-of-war is to let go of the rope? Beautiful, emotional love story.
The narration was very enjoyable and really suited the characters and their emotions.

Romance and secrets…
West and Jakob time for romance. West is struggling through life, his studies, his deli and specially his apartment. When he meets Jake, the lonely feeling starts to fade but Jakob has got a big secret to tell. Fake it til you make it. They are both good guys, who have issues. I like that West is so independent and Jakob wants to do the right thing. And yet that secret could destroy them. They do get their hea though. Lovely narration.

Another fantastic love story
Listening to a new E.M. Lindsey romance is always a treat for me, and West and Jakob's story was no exception. I fell in love with them in the very first chapter, and despite the less-than-ideal circumstances it was a joy to watch them find their way together. Neither man was expecting anything to come out of their hot-as-heck anonymous hookup, and that's why their romance felt so genuine despite their completely different lifestyles. Jakob wasn't looking for someone to shower with money--in fact it often seemed like he was trying to escape his upbringing and find out who we was as a person without his inheritance. The fact that Jakob's company was responsible for the majority of West's living struggles was a horrible kind of irony, and while I didn't agree with Jakob's decision to hide the truth I understand why he did it. His and West's connection had the potential to be something magnificent, but the stigma behind Jakob's last name would have shut down their relationship entirely. I'll admit that I was a little skeptical at how easily West dismissed his initial impressions of Jakob, but I can't complain too much when it led to some heartwarming bonding moments and steamy nights together. I've read other stories where the wealthier half of a couple tried to throw money around to fix all their problems, and I appreciate that Jakob never did that to West. Their relationship always felt like it was on even footing, and I honestly found myself forgetting about their different upbringings in the face of their growing affections. If I ever had any doubts about West and Jakob's feelings, their road trip back to West's childhood home erased them. I knew there was no way West could stay in the dark about Jakob's identity forever, but seeing just how good things were between them made me ache for the inevitable betrayal. Thankfully, West wasn't the type of man to hold a grudge unnecessarily, and Jakob had already proven himself to be nothing like his father. Nothing made me happier than when the two of them agreed to give their romance a second chance, and getting a peek at their quiet, happy life together was the perfect way to close out their journey.

All You Touch
E.M. Lindsey did a fantastic job with this story. They really do a very good of giving us what we need while maintaining realness. So good! Jakob and West both have meaty journeys alone, but they are perfection together! Hudson did a great job of narrating. I do always speed him up, but that's a preference thing.

Read as a stand-alone
Not having read/listened to book 1 in this series, I thought I would struggle, but no. The author does such a great job with the story and the characters that I didn't feel I was missing something.
West and Jacob are great characters, well defined and complement each other. The story is good and captures you from the start, add that with great narration, and you have a great book to listen to.
Well narrated, clean and clear. Nick Hudson is always a joy to listen to. I sped up to 1.35 on audible.

Fantastic Story, Wonderful Characters
What an absolutely wonderful story! These characters drew me in from the very first page, and I became completely vested in their happily ever after. Very likeable guys, the chemistry between them is off the charts, and E.M. Lindsey writes some steaming hot love scenes between them.
The second book in the Love Starts Here series, you can read All You Touch as a standalone.

My favorite so far!
5 Stars!
This was such a fantastic addition to the series. It can totally be read/listened as a standalone, but I think you'll enjoy it more if you read the first book in the series first.
I loved West, he was a sweetheart. I loved how devoted he was to his cause and to his family, even when he couldn't be with them. I liked Jake a lot, and even if my suspicions from book 1 were confirmed and he was hiding who he was from West, the conflict wasn't drawn out for too long, even if it only came to play in the last third of the book. In the meantime, we saw Jake become the man he wanted to be and he was very supportive of West. They were super hot together, too, which was definitely a bonus! They had fantastic chemistry and watching their relationship progress was a treat.
I loved catching up with Carter, Henryk, and Rhys. I hate Jordan with the fire of a thousand suns and I was a bit disappointed he didn't get more of a comeuppance. Same with Jake's father, the man deserves a slow, very painful death. LOL
Nick Hudson did a solid job with his narration. He gave each character a distinctive voice and made the experience even better for me with the emotions he managed to convey through his voice.
Overall, a fantastic audiobook! I was totally invested in West and Jake's HEA and loved seeing them both sharing time with their friends and West's family. Well-written, angsty, sweet, engaging, and steamy, you definitely can't go wrong with this one!
