Story
In psychology, attachment theory explains adult relationships through the lens of parent-child relationships. According to this theory, we develop attachment patterns with parents and caregivers in early childhood that influence how we relate to others as adults. Your attachment styles can also determine the type of person you gravitate to in relationships, since you are looking to have your needs met in a certain way. This can sometimes result in destructive relationships if partners are unable to have their needs met in the way they prefer.

Millions of people around the world have insecure attachment styles. Anxious attachment is a common form of insecure attachment, and it creates worry and distrust in relationships. Twenty percent of all people have an anxious attachment style, which makes it hard for those people to build relationships that feel safe. When you have an insecure attachment style, you may tend to self-sabotage relationships, and you may feel unable to trust your partner’s love.

Publisher's Summary
Learning to control that anger could very well save your kid’s life. Here’s what you need to know....
According to statistics, 73 percent of parents say parenting is the biggest struggle in their life. On top of that, in order to cope with these stressors, 90 percent of parents claim to yell at their kids.
But what effect does this actually have on your little ones? Is it even an effective strategy?
In Am I Yelling?, you’ll discover:
- The psychology of anger and why yelling is not the most productive outlet
- What to do when your child is the angry one, and why remaining calm is imperative
- How to learn your child’s language so that you can understand and anticipate their actions
- A step-by-step guide to developing your own emotional intelligence and why this could save your child’s life
- Groundbreaking insight into how you can manage your anger, even if you haven’t succeeded with this in the past
- What you can do to fix an instance of yelling and why this is important for your child’s development
- And so much more.
Parenting is hard enough without always having to second-guess if you’re doing the right thing. Yelling has it’s time and place and can be effective in certain instances, but sometimes expressing your frustration this way simply does more harm than good.
Spending just minutes a day, you can train your mind to use these strategies and control your anger to communicate more effectively with your child, as well as help them to grow into the best possible version of themselves.
If you’re ready to control those random outbursts and stop feeling like you’re treating your children too harshly, then scroll up and click the “buy” button right now.
PLEASE NOTE: When you purchase this title, the accompanying PDF will be available in your Audible Library along with the audio.

Rock-solid advice for a happy parenting life!
This audiobook was a much-needed one for me. I feel so satisfied to have this audio gifted to my sister, who suffers from anger issues with her 3-kids parenting life most of the time. I knew the struggle she has been going through, and I knew how unhappy she used to be. But this audiobook is a golden piece of work that helped understand the children and develop emotional intelligence. The content is insightful and enlightening, with practical strategies to overcome anger issues and teach the importance of accepting parenting life. Such a life-saving audiobook and I would say that you'll never regret the purchase once you listen since I witnessed how this affected my sister's life!

It's difficult to be a parent. It's even more difficult to be a foster parent for a teenager with special needs. Totally sensible!
Most of the self-help books focusing on parent child relationships normally look at the solutions from only the parents point of view. This book does a great job of breaking down how the kids would feel and also including them in the process of correcting both behaviors. The factor of accountability on both sides is a great strategy! All the strategies listed are very sensible and easy to understand why they are recommended. I highly recommend this book for parents!

Anger problem? This book can help you
If you are on this page, then I guess you are beginning to accept you have a problem, but the biggest part of that problem is you don't know how to deal with it. I must confess I am apt to pen my mouth before my brain kicks into gear. I don't get physical, but the anger coming out of my mouth makes up for it. Trouble is, I never even noticed it myself, I thought I was just worked up.
This book taught me a lot and has helped me to control my reactions much better. If you have a problem, then this book will definitely be a help to you.

Beautiful story!
What a sweet way to help kids learn how to deal with one of their biggest emotions! Kids are more likely to listen to their friends and I love how his friend taught him to take deep breaths and count to 10. This is a strategy I use as well. I like how rhyming is incorporated throughout and could be highlighted when listening aloud. The story is illustrated well, too. Thank you for putting the effort into something that is really important. Social-emotional skills are foundational.

Extremely helpful!
I have 2 teenagers, who grunt instead of answering questions, they like slamming doors when told 'no'....I was going crazy, being angry is not something I like as I know what that can do from my own childhood experience!
I got this book to see if I could get some strategies to manage my own anger and when the kids push my buttons!
The authors have put together a great book. Giving lots of explanations, advice and tips on managing our anger as parents but acknowledge our struggles with parenting and not judging us when we might 'lose it'.
My favourite chaper has to be chapter 9. I have already started to put the advice in place. For example, now when anger starts to bubble, I walk away, take a few minutes or longer and then come back when I am a lot calmer and we discuss why I felt angry and we can make the changes in both our behaviours to make better decisions and get better outcome.
Great book for any parent who wants to work on their anger issues.

Can't recommend this book enough!!
I gotta say when I saw the title I was skeptical. There are so many parenting self-help books out there. But HOLY COW look no further, this is the only book you need! I was blown away by the amount of value packed into a 3 hour book. I loved all the tips and strategies provided to manage your anger. I don't even consider myself a super angry person, but I definitely lose it when my kids are driving me crazy (who doesn't??). And everything in this book was applicable. Thank you SO much for such a valuable book!!

Help to master your emotions
I really needed this book, I knew I was always flying off the handle but I couldn't help myself and then I would feel guilty. This book is my saviour, it has shown me how to become a better parent and an improved version of myself. Thank you!

Works like a magic pill!
As someone who's been disturbed by anger issues since childhood, I was dazzled by the content of this book. Should initially pay my gratitude to the author and the narrator as well for publishing this amazing piece of work! The strategies explained in the book were very productive and they made my parenting life easier and more compassionate. I learned how anger could psychologically affect one's life and now I'm concerned before lashing out on my children or husband. My vexation gradually dwindles seemingly and I must say this is not only for parents but for all who suffer from anger issues.

Im not yelling
It's impossible not to feel angry at times, but as much as I try you can see it written all over my face. I think this book will help avoid some of that unfortunate tendency, especially when conversing with children. A great book for anyone who is trying not to argue and get angry when conflict arises.
