Publisher's Summary

Does science discredit the Bible, God, religious faith?

Absolutely not, says Dr. Michael Guillen, former Harvard physics instructor and Emmy-winning ABC News science editor. In Amazing Truths, he uses his entertaining, down-to-earth storytelling skills to reveal 10 astonishing truths affirmed by both ancient Scripture and modern science that answer some of our biggest questions:

  • Can faith really move mountains?
  • Does absolute truth exist?
  • Are humans truly unique?
  • Is it possible to communicate with God?
  • How much about the universe do we actually know?
  • How could Jesus have been fully man and fully God?

In Amazing Truths, Dr. Guillen explains that faith is not some outdated way of thinking. Faith is a necessary part of science, Christianity, and any intelligent, comprehensive, coherent worldview - vastly more powerful than even logic.

Amazing Truths will expand your mind and bolster your faith. You will see for yourself what Dr. Guillen, a theoretical physicist and devout Christian, has discovered in a lifetime of serious exploration - that science and faith are not at odds. In fact, they're the ultimate power couple.

Loved it!

I find myself sinking into my own black hole of agnosticism from time to time.
This book was so refreshing and fascinating to my intellect and my heart.
I love science. And I love the Bible. And I’ve always thought that the two were always in disagreement and that I am to be always torn between choosing “one or the other”. I have been reminded that it is a good thing to look in the microscope and marvel at God’s amazing creation and be filled with wonder and awe over and over and over. Further, I have been reminded that I will never grasp the magnitude of it all, despite my curiosity.
I read it twice. And I plan to read it again soon. This has become my new favorite book.

Wonderful Book Chamioning 2 Truths

This is a wonderful book joining science and Bible together in the same true world. Worth a read for everyone but especially for those believing they ride a fence between the Bible and science feeling one voids the other. This book explains that feeling couldn't be more wrong.

Insightful and Interesting

An incredibly insightful and interesting look at how religion and science can and should co exist. It explains, through the scientific lens, how in many ways, the two aren’t really at odds. A great read for those with an open mind.
