Story
The Alt Apocalypse is the ground-breaking, genre-bending series from Tom Abrahams. It explores survival under the most extreme circumstances, but with a twist (and no cliff-hangers). This series, which can be listened to in any order, features the same core characters in each complete story. But every book dunks them into a new, alternate apocalypse; a nuclear holocaust, an earthquake, a flood, a wildfire, a hurricane, a plague, and even zombies.

Story
A nuclear EMP attack would shove the USA back 150 years. Death, chaos, and lawlessness would prevail.... Zack Johnson is no hero, but he does have some valuable prepper skills to help him survive. There is nothing like a nuclear apocalypse to help a man grow up and become a hero as he helps his family and friends survive. He is 2,000 miles from home; the grid and all modern transportation have failed. The country is degenerating into violence and dog-eat-dog scenarios. People are killing their neighbors for a scrap of moldy bread or a sip of water.

While he sat back and watched the US rattle swords with Korea, play chicken with Russia, and strong-arm China, he felt sure if the lights went out that he and his family would be ready and safe. What he wasn't prepared for was his family not being home if it ever happened. Olivia Rowan is with her sisters, Gabby and Emma, on a girls-only trip to Myrtle Beach. Untested and rushed to market, the people don’t care. In droves they line up, hoping to avoid the deadly virus. Cole’s Saga is a stand-alone spin-off series, based on my American Apocalypse series. Cole’s Saga continues the story about Cole Biggs, and how he and his friends survive the apocalypse. North Korea, China, and Iran conspired against the world and used EMP bombs to destroy our grid. This new series starts in the Kentucky / Tennessee part of the US. The grid is down, and people panic as planes fall from the sky and cars stall. The US Government collapses and rogue government groups rise to power. Jack Harp is Cole’s best friend’s father.

Story
In Las Vegas, Nevada, Dylan, his family, and their loyal Australian Kelpie, Pepper, are like everyone else. They scrape for food and do whatever it takes, but at least they’re in one of the few remaining cities where they can keep the family together. It was hard, but everything changed the day Dylan’s daughter decided to leave. When Maci left with her boyfriend, Logan, she had no idea what they would discover in the rest of the country. It was worse than she imagined. Raiders, cannibals, and rogue factions roamed. It wasn’t long before she realized the real threat.

Story
When a viral apocalypse kills 97 percent of the people on the planet, the survivors' humanity is hanging by a thread. Amid the leftovers of civilization, ex-Army Ranger Jason Larsen is reminded of the meaning of hope, family, and loyalty by a dog and a young boy who are as alone as he is. The survivors he seems to collect become family, and that is very bad news for those who think they run the apocalypse.

Story
When the pandemic hit, nobody was expecting it to be as bad as it was. The economy barely survived the lockdowns, but it staggered along until civil unrest shattered people’s hope of better times to come. With it being an election year, more and more Americans were waking up to the idea that they truly were behind the curve. The hope was if they did not get sick, run out of money, or could avoid violent mobs, they would be fine.

Publisher's Summary
How deep does loyalty run between father and son when they shake out on opposite sides of apocalyptic, civil war?
As winter blocks the mountain passes during the Black Autumn apocalypse, the conquering forces of the Mexican drug cartel occupy and enslave the population of Flagstaff, Arizona. Ex-mercenary and Green Beret Bill McCallister plays the shrewd kingmaker while his adopted son, Noah Miller, fights and bleeds for the American partisans, opposite his own father. The ties between father and son strain to the breaking point as ever more powerful weapons find their way onto the desert battlefields of armageddon: Abrams tanks, A-10 Warthog jets, and finally, a tactical nuclear warhead.
When convictions collide, can the love of a father and a son withstand the maelstrom of war?
America Invaded continues the saga of Black Autumn Conquistadors.

Another magnificent read by these authors.
Jason Ross and Jeff Kirkham wrote another thrilling book. America invaded will keep you on the edge of your seat just like the rest of their books. These author have a tremendous grasp for the what an apocalypse will look like. Jeff Kirkham has first hand experience about what an apocalypse will look like after being deployed to multiple hot spots around the world.

Constant Treachery Prevents Any Plot Development
Bill as a character annoyed me constantly throughout the book. He played both sides against each other to the point of very little of importance happening in the end. The story may as well have never occurred with the same net effect. I find that annoying, and don't particularly look forward to this same cast of characters in the next installment (with some even being resurrected, undoing plot progress from the previous book). Some of them need to be eliminated to make progress in the plot.

Intricate winding plot lines and circular, 3D characters
These authors are superb with creating intricate winding subplot lines, within each book, and within the series. Don’t get me wrong; there is always a main plot. However, characters, motives, and subplots are intertwined and make it hard to understand how in the world they came up with them. It is mind blowing to me, as well as truly amazing.
You won’t be able to avoid emotional attachments to the characters! I have loved at least one character in each book, and while being introduced to a few more characters, characters from previous books have made a comeback.
I feel that the interpretation of the book of Revelation is plausible, but not really biblical. I am not an expert, but I have studied the prophecies for hundreds of hours. The pale horse is not the last seal judgement; it is the fourth seal judgement. However, it is the last of the horsemen. While I realize the fall of the US doesn’t necessarily jive with the fall of the world (the Tribulation), there is no scripture that gives us any info about where the US is during that time. This is also the time that the antiChrist comes on the scene, which is ignored in the book. I kind of feel that if prophecy was going to be used, it should all be used, but I realize this is a work of fiction. Please remember that, and maybe do your own studying of the Bible to figure out your own ideas of what’s to come. Anyway, sorry for the diversion but I felt I needed to speak to this. Overall, it is a fabulous book and I can’t wait for the next one!
