Story
Swept away from Louisiana bayou country as a child, Miranda Miller is a woman without a past. She has a husband and child of her own and a fulfilling job in a Manhattan museum, but she also has questions - about the tragedy that cut her off from family and caused her to be sent away and about those first five years of her life, which were erased from her memory entirely. Summoned to the bedside of Willy Pedreaux, the old caretaker of her grandparents' antebellum estate, Miranda goes back to Louisiana at last, hoping to learn the truths of her past and receive her rightful inheritance.

Amish Midwife, Four Babies, Four Stories of Hope
Better than wrapping ones self in a warm quilt and sitting by the fireside, Amish Christmas at North Star, is the story of an Amish midwife who helped bring four babies into the world one night over 25 years ago . . . Rebekah's babies they are called . . . now all grown and on their own separate paths, these are their stories . . . not perfect cookie-cutter tales, but ones of struggle, heartache, and twists and turns . . . the kind that all of God's children experience . . . along with the redemption, joy and renewal that He, alone offers to us . . . I loved each story, and how the Amish impacted and worked alongside the "English" in their community . . . this book blessed me . . . it will bless you, too . . .

Loved it!
I purchased this book intending to listen to it one story at a time. It didn't happen that way. The stories, although written by different authors, flowed well one into another. Distinct and individual yet holding onto themes of forgiveness and learning to accept grace and mercy. I really enjoyed it and highly recommend it at all times of the year not just Christmas!

Enjoyable listen!
I love listening to Amish stories because they are wholesome and I know I won’t be surprised by the addition of things that make me cringe. These were interesting enough to encourage my faith yet light enough to listen while doing other tasks. I really enjoyed all 4 stories and how they were joined together in a nice neat little bow at the beginning and end.
